Go for it.

The only time I go to the physical campus is at the beginning of the semester to talk to my professors face to face about the class. And to get graduation stuff squared away.

Any other time, I can call them during office hours, and sometimes they call me after hours, if i'm trying to reach them.

Are online degrees as respected as "brick and mortar" (for lack of a better term) degrees? If I get my Master's online will I be mocked by my peers and future employers?

Just get it online from Harvard then you can mock 99.99% of the people you work with.

A degree gets you in to your field.

The rest is up to you bub.

A polished and successful resume far outweighs a degree from anywhere.

Wisdom >>> knowledge.

There are Harvard degrees like those or Masters in Education that are a total joke.

I have both. I know plenty that have online degrees. Hell i dont think there are many non online masters even out there anymore. When i meet someone with a masters outside of a few degrees, i assume its online

I would never recommend someone go to a for profit university when there are so many online options from respected schools now.

The decision whether to study online or not is really up to what you are trying to get out of the degree. I wouldn't want an online degree to be my terminal degree but I would definitely be open to online as a means of continuous education (such as the Edx programs).

Depends on which school.

The online MBA from Texas A&M-Commerce is highly ranked and very tough despite being only 30 hours.

Most colleges are going to online degrees, easier to rope in those people already in the workforce

No, I look down on them. Their degree is inferior to mine.

I think you should look further. Most real schools offer way more in person masters than they do online.

I think you have a very interesting interpretation of "highly ranked." Not saying you can't be successful with that degree, but i don't think it is renowned. Seems like a high chance of a post by someone who has that degree (or paid for a relative to get it).
