Any chance Ben Simmons' name comes up in this BBall Investigation?

Doubt it. LSU isn't an Adidas school and his godfather was a coach here at the time. Not like it was completely random he came here

If this investigation spills over to non-adidas schools, that's not the baskebtall recruitment I'm worried about. That one could actually be explained away.

He came here because his godfather was here, not because of money being exchanged

Plus he currently has a deal with Nike, which he chose over Adidas. So if there were any shady dealings at all, apparently it wasn't good enough to get him to sign a 5 year deal with them

Well it mite now with you putting it out there

No idea about Simmons or any other player but have to think this isn't limited to Adidas.
My sense is this gets a ton bigger. Not saying LSU is involved in any way. But this may be tip of iceberg.

Patrick is just as dirty and wasn't he involved with some shady stuff with Australia kids at another school.
Blakeny would be the one I would be worried about as a LSU fan. How LSU stole him from Louisville is mind boggling but I would hope Jones was operating above board considering he was implicated when LSU was last put on probation. If not, Joe Alleva is even worse than I thought for bringing Jones back.
Say what you want about Trent, he wasn't playing that game with Temple and his AAU boys.

This would be interesting to see if they go down that rabbit hole and find more companies involved.

This thread is a fricking stupid.
The research was already done. That's when it went public.
GTFO with this shite.

Ben Simmons would have played for Southeastern if his godfather was coaching there. No chance he's investigated.

One of the people charged was formerly a Nike employee. You think he got to Adidas and learned how to do this?
Merl Code, recently left Nike for Adidas: A right-hand man for Gatto involved in many of these exchanges, according to the complaint.
The case could expand -- massively: There is also an element of having another shoe drop here. Because those who have been charged could be given an option to reduce their potential sentences or legal punishments, names of others who have cheated could be named.
There is a hotline number. The FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office created a tip line specifically for this investigation, or for any coaches potentially involved in nefarious activity to call: 212-384-2135.
This isn't over. It's the beginning.

Right..at this point we should be clear, I actually think they were pretty careful, you know he did sign with Klutch (LeBron's agency) two years after they hired his sister Emily, that tells me they were making sure they did everything by the books, so Klutch would not get any bad publicity

Anyone thinking this is limited to Adidas is delusional.

I would be worried about jarrell Martin, since he is signed by that agent that was raided yesterday.
