The problems, straight from the horse's mouth

It's all on the home page where Canada tells CEO "we need to simplify some things." But what's more...
Yup!
Yup again!
This all tells me a couple things.
1: We really aren't there blocking-wise. That's what's holding us back the most. We were forced to keep 6-7 on passing plays to block. That limits our receiving options significantly, and we couldn't even block a five man rush half the time. As CEO said: "Not ready to make a living out of that." CEO made an adjustment to block for Danny better this week, and it didn't work; HOWEVER, he sees that and is going to adjust again. At least it's something.
2: We are also thin at receiver. Partly, we're just thin there. Partly, we're using extra blockers. Either way, we "used 4 true receivers last week." That's...pathetic? What's the solution? Quicker passes? Slants? Dumpoffs? Our quickest, best drive against 'Cuse was Brennan dumping off to the RB. I think we spread them and throw more screens and quick routes. But I'm not a coach, so whatever.
Point is this: we know the OL is kind of the biggest problem. Thankfully, it seems the coaches know this, too. It's not just about eliminating useless pre-snap motions. It's about fixing the lack of blocking--or working around it. I *holds breath* actually expect something a little bit different this Saturday offensively. Troy is a good chance to try some adjustments.
That's my two cents' worth.

O says there were "a couple of miscommunication" in #LSU OL pass blocking.
Yup!

O more on #LSU pass blocking: "Got to win one on one blocks. You start keep tight end and RB to chip, you've got 3 WRs in the routes."
Yup again!

#LSU used 4 true receivers once last week. O on that: "Not ready to make a living out of that. Not well versed in it."

We are thin but more importantly, we are poorly coached on the offensive line

I know Rome is burning on TD, but I'm seeing progress. They recognize a problem and try to fix it. If it doesn't work, they try something else. The OL is an achilles heel. We simplify the blocking or just run a bunch of screens since thats what they look like they are blocking for already

Well I thought the whole point of why teams go 4 wide and spread out is to move defensive players out of the box and into coverage forcing them to cover/tackle in space.

If they start doing this often it'll be straight down hill. Need 5 eligibles with a clear hot route

No, we're not. The MSU game was terrible but I really don't think the issue is primarily talent or strength. That said, we're not a championship-level team but we could be a 2 or 3 loss team if the players start to execute the way they need to.

Canada's thing was supposed to be about adjusting his offense to fit the personnel. Well he has his work cut out for him.

Meh, if by "we're" you mean LSU, "trouble" you mean difficulty winning any games after Troy, and by "a lot" you mean a shite ton, then, yeah, I agree with you.
(Just not used to it from the poliboard, baw. )

Such a dramatic bunch of fans, aren't we?

They are spending time on this, that is why it's useless. They need to work on working as a unit on pass plays and not on pre snap motions.

I really really do not like coach o

Its obvious that Brennan gets the ball off quicker than Etling.

I don't disagree that we are thin, but Ensminger had the perfect K.I.S.S method and they put up some pretty good numbers. With the OL shifts and movement you can tell players are lost, but if you go to the simple "on or down" blocking it should be easier to execute.

That's one more than I've been accustomed to seeing.

I think we got better last week. And I was melting after State. I think if we clean up the completely blown assignments and the missed tackles we will look good against Troy
