Too bad whites don't have the balls to demand that every MLK statue and street be bulldozed or renamed. You know that serial womanizer and communist who Jackie Kennedy herself called a "terrible phony."
MLK statues don't venerate the man for his private flaws; they celebrate him for his public accomplishments in civil rights. Stone Mountain OTOH is a monument to men who fought specifically to keep the same people MLK fought for enslaved. Do you really find these things equivalent? And BTW, who gives a flying frick what Jackie O thought?

I saw Mexicans and white folks. I was specifically looking for blacks in 08 to see if they came. A busload of inner-city kids on a Summer Camp field trip don't count(which is all I saw).
Definitely not families driving from Atlanta for the laser show.
I was there this summer and there was a lot of black people there. The ones I saw seemed to be sitting on the grass enjoying the laser show just like everyone else.

They better enjoy it. Fall in line and like those lasers.

I just brushed up on it. I forgot that Borglun quit the project. So he really had nothing to do with it.
He only carved a head and it was scrapped.
Borglum was a really strange, temperamental guy. Rushmore was fraught with problems because of it.

When did black people become so sensitive??

When are we going to start tearing down Martin Luther King statues? Or Rosa Park statues? I mean the reason why we should do that as as well is because that signifies a time in our history that is a dirty spot and we should erase that since we are erasing all the other parts for history that are also seen negatively.

This is a completely moronic statement

He wants votes. This gets his name in the spotlight.
Sadly, this is what all this shite comes down to. It's not the average person who sees these monuments on a daily basis because those people are so use to seeing it that it doesn't bother them at all.. But making a big deal out of it makes the news so it is an easy target for some jackass looking to make a name for themselves.
And it is something they can create, in order to get done so that they can stick a feather in their hat... To put on their resume.

If the Sistine Chapel had a picture of a slave trader on it these same people would want it destroyed.
it doesn't need to be connected to slaves, the very fact that its pro God means that it must be destroyed, that is their goal, anything that brings thoughts of national pride, religion based moral compass, decency, questioning and searching for your own answers instead of thinking as you are told to think about things, all that must be destroyed for progressives to hold power

shite, I am from Georgia and get lost on all the Peachtree shite in Atlanta. I isn't just confusing to tourists

How would one go about removing or covering up an image that has been etched into the side of a gigantic rock?

We dig out whole mountains. You really think this is beyond human engineering?

The exact guys I was thinking of when I started this thread. Scary that certain segments of our population are acting so much like them.
