Lol. If they lost that game, no chance in hell Miles is retained.

Fisher used LSU for a pay raise and Herman used LSU as a stepping stone for his dream job... everyone else considered had skeletons in their closet... it wasn't much of a win/win situation....not every ELITE coach was knocking down the door to become the LSU head football coach....

Bobby Jindal would not let LSU fire Miles. Did not want to face the buyout provision.

This is true as far as Jimbo and Herman are concerned certainly. Jimbo had and still has a stockpile of talent, serious recruiting chops, an alumni base that loves him a BoS that adores him, and family issues in Florida. He wasn't leaving. However, nothing wrong with putting the squeeze for a few more buck is there?

Herman's "dream job" requires wearing Burnt Orange. Even if Texas had retained Strong, it was obvious that it wouldn't be a long term proposition. The instant Strong was ousted, he would be the golden child again. Don't give me any bunk about a buy-out had he come to LSU for a year or so. Texas has the cash and was going to be there sooner or later.

After those two, I have no clue what the landscape might have been. But this I am sure of neither Jimbo, nor Herman would ever be LSU's solution.

I think we probably would fired Miles then and there, and hired an offensive guru: the "thinking man's quarterback", Steve Ensminger.

Jimbo. many on this board dont believe it but deal was in place in principle but nothing was ever official because Miles was not gone. FKA fricked this up.

Fisher wasnt shopping for a job and because of the way the deal fell apart he didnt get anything out of it.

Fast forward to 2016, yes, his agent was playing LSU.

Alleva would've given his left nut for jimbo. jimbo was my first wish. Then Herman. 3rd choice was O. I'm starting to wander now. It's only one game and O deserves our support for now. Like him or not he begged for a 2nd chance and got it. He's had a year and a half to mold his team. With that said we may not be playoff contenders or sec title contenders but this team has the talent to win 9. We don't need a 3 year experiment with O. He has been rec cord. For a few years and the HC since game 5 of last year. That's enough time to get shiiiat together. If he bombs this year then the writing is on the wall. Get alleva and O outta there and start fresh. Best thing for Lsu and the fans is for O and staff to get it together.. Canada needs to open things up and start scoring some points. Aranda can't do it all and will have bad games. Let's go get two solid wins and get ready for a huge game in the swamp.

Ed O.

Win or lose, it wouldn't have made a difference. F(uc)King had made up Alleva's mind for him at halftime.

The good thing about all this is if O tanks- Alleva will be the first to go.
