He was under intense pressure all night and look at the passes that were dropped.....want to bench him already? Really? Geeze...

Blame starts at the top, but flows downhill.

Blame is the past. Brennan is the future.

He was 13/29 for 137 yards and no TDs or INTs.

Realistically should have been 17/29 for 220 yards 1 TD and no INTs.

Still not good, but good enough for LSU to win when Aranda's unit looks like Aranda's unit.

criticizing his poor play isn't blaming him for everything.

I have never seen so many fans lined up to defend a mediocre talent like Etling. He isn't the problem, you're right. But our upside is extremely limited with him running the offense, that can't be denied

The hatebase here on the rant is unhinged and want coach O fired immediately for suffering his first loss even though it was his predecessor that left him with poor lineman. Ever since Miles was fired, this place has become unhinged.

It's the rant if we lose it's the coach and the QBs fault no matter what and it's a sign of ignorance.

who should I place blame on for fades and flys being thrown 5 yards out of bounds, or for throwing a 8 yard route to a TE on 4th and 15 when Moreau was ignored the whole afternoon. Don't forget the punt he threw 10-15 yards past the WR to the end-zone, the db was surprised and couldn't catch it.

Nobody besides girls, little kids and mentally challenged folks is blaming Danny Etling.

I agree. I don't blame Etling at all.

Etling was 1-9 for 4 yards and a sack on 3rd down. The lone completion was a 4 yard gain on 3rd and 15.

While you cant blame this loss on Danny, its pretty clear his supporting cast and Defense isn't nearly as good as we thought. Therefore, I think you have to go another route just to see what you've got in Brennan. The team that played Saturday night is maybe a 7-5 team. I think we can all agree that's not good enough.

I agree this game was not Etling's fault at all. He played about how we expected him to play.

That being said, if there is a better guy behind him then you play that guy. If you want to be a real contender then you don't need a game manager at QB, you need a threat at QB. Brennan might be that guy. There is a lot to learn about Brennan's skill set though.

Is that video clip out yet that shows every throw that usually comes out weekly?

Based on fairly sober recollection I feel pretty confident that the video evidence will vindicate Etling for the most part.

Etling is clearly not the problem! In fact, he's the best thing we've had in a while. Dropped passes, penalties and lack of preparedness are the issues. We can win big with Etling. We can't win with no OL protection and no DL penetration! Add on top of that injuries and youth and we have a tough road ahead if we don't at least fix the basics when in comes to OL and DL assignment football.

Etling makes too many mistakes when the play busts. Not necessarily TO mistakes but waiting half am hour to get rid of the ball, stepping up in tothe pocket (at least twice he had good protection then stepped up and it seemed like he forgot what to do).
