Why would any governing entity in the USA want people who are not US citizens voting in US elections?
Because, while the US has some of the brightest individual minds in the world, collectively we are a country of willfully ignorant fools.

Why would they want that?
Because of which party most of the non-citizens will be voting for.
That is the actual reason, despite what virtue-signaling bullshite they may tell you.

the non citizens there are not going to be what we are familiar with in the south
the vast majority of the non citizens in College Park are going to be students at the University of Maryland

Are you suggesting this makes the law more logical?

No. Just trying to put the demographics of the city in context when trying to understand how this gets passed.

Is this another one of those items the left posters on here said wouldn't happen?

Yeah, but I'm not getting how that point does that.

Oh, most def. didnt mean it like that.
Just meant that was my opinion on the topic, while I know and understand the initial reaction to immediately dismiss the idea if non cotizens voting. I was just stating I take a more libertarian view on it when its not affecting my municipality or country as a whole directly. If thats how that community wants to do it, then so be it.
Didn't mean to imply i didnt think it should be posted/discussed

Have you seen the kids on most college campuses these days. I'm not sure that argument makes it any better.

"good" non citizen vs "bad" non citizen

I'd suggest you are mis-ascribing motivations, or at least possibly misreading them in others.
Posted on 9/13/17 at 9:47 am to Y.A. Tittle
I've already stated the motivation are mostly virtue signalling
but my point is that the same people that voted for this, probably wouldn't be voting "yes" if they lived on a border town

I'm not so sure about that.

Ahhh, see, now I agree. I think perhaps, I was guilty of mis-ascrbing where YOU were going previously. Thanks for the clarification.

This is just the beginning. They will try to expand their voting rights.
FIFY.
Well yeah.
I never said they wouldn't, and we all know they will. I always thought non-citizen residents were allowed to vote in local elections of some cities. Am I wrong?

We underestimate the stupidity of a progressive at our own peril.

Precedent has been set multiple times. It isn't going to be over turned.
