Located near Quinua, in the Ayacucho region of Peru, at an altitude of nearly 3km above sea-level we find the ancient Wari ruins, the capital of the Wari (Huari) empire which ruled the region sometime between 500 to 1000 AD.

The numerous slabs found at the Wari capital city were made of hard volcanic stone, and have extremely curious characteristics: precision cuts, nearly perfect lines, and curious drill holes that according to many are evidence of a lost ancient technology.

If the massive slabs, andesite stones with curious precision cuts, incredible grooves and other interesting characteristics were manufactured by the ancient Wari, then the obvious question we need to ask here is how did they do it?

What kind of technology allowed them to work with some of the hardest materials on Earth, thousands of years ago?

The stonework found at the Wari ruins curiously resembles other ancient sites found in the Americas. Similar stonework can be found at Puma Punku, Ollantaytambo, Tiahuanaco and even Ancient Egypt. How is it possible that these sites –located thousands of kilometers from each other in some cases— shows eerily similar grooves, precision cuts, and slabs?

As noted by author and researcher Brien Foerster, some of the stones found at the Wari ruins are “intact examples of possibly hundreds of extremely intricately shaped conduits.”

Check out Pumapunko, I've seen those ruins with my own eye doubt we had that technology then. The tolerances on the straight lines and circles are pretty tight.

There is nothing remotely interesting about those cuttings. It is the kind of thing nutbag UFO enthusiasts use to convince people who don't know anything that normal things are extraordinary and therefore must be the result of a higher technology from space.

It's incredibly insulting that people underestimate the ingenuity of the human race throughout history.

Why does it just have to be aliens? People back then weren't stupid. They may not have had the internet and youtube videos, but they could sand down shite just like anybody today. I've watched Survivorman so don't tell me it's aliens.....

They had a lot of time on their hands back then, it could be the work of something that took a long time to do.

What I find hilarious about people who claim aliens built Stonehenge or the Pyramids is that it's not logical.

It's like, what they're telling me is that aliens with the technology to come all the way to Earth, stacked some rocks on top of each other? Really? That's what they did when they got here?

Always wondered why these super intelligent beings able to travel millions of miles thru space landed here and worked with rocks.

Since you are so sure that is the case then you should be able to explain what tools and technology they used to bore those perfect holes and "conduits" in hard rock and what was their purpose.

ancient alien proponents often point out that granite and diorite are much harder, if not impossible, to cut with ancient tools to high levels of precision. After a little searching around, I found many examples of intricate stonework being produced thousands of years before the Puma Punku site was erected such as the Code of Hammurabi. Carved in 1772 B.C from a large piece of diorite (more than equivalent to the hardness and durability of the andesite blocks at Puma Punku), it was created more than 2,000 years before Puma Punku.

Diamond tools are known to have been used for thousands of years (2500 B.C. in China), and maybe even much longer as nothing would have barred the mineral from being collected (as it is found naturally in the Earth’s crust). The reason that no diamond tools remain on these sites to be found today should be obvious to any modern or ancient observer; their value would not allow them to be discarded.

The drill holes and complex interlocking blocks would be a complicated engineering feat, but stone drills have been proven to be able to cut those holes at a similar level of precision in granite and sandstone. Since copper was known to have been in use as well, the claims of drilling being proof of ancient aliens requires more than a stretch of the imagination. Also at Pumu Punku can be found hydraulic hoses and aqueducts used for sewage management and irrigation of agriculture. The Greeks, then later the Romans were known to have similar aqueduct and pumping/piping technology which also predates the Puma Punku site.
