I watched the video that was on HBO a few years back. I think you can watch it on Youtube now. I believe it is a 90 min special.
I am no liberal by any means and probably fit the medium more than being liberal or conservative. But I just think the type of people who are at that event and the basic message they bring would tip me over the scales.
A few of the people who run and organize the event made me want to turn it off.

It's funny that some of you idiots look at a couple of pictures and think y'all know everything that's going on. There's more money in just a few pockets over there than most of the OT will have in our lifetimes, combined.
This is an event that all kinds of techies, entrepreneurs, models, etc etc go to.
And while there is drug use going on, it's no worse than what goes on at, for example, music festivals and events like that.
It's easy to look at pics and come to a conclusion without any knowledge of what really goes on. It's also easy to see how full of shite some people are claiming the B S they spew as fact.
People spend big money just on their custom vehicles/RVs and costumes alone, not to mention all the other things.

Am I to understand that they do not burn the man or props anymore? Is that due to a rogue idiot who got burnt? I remember back years ago, there was a year when the burning got out of control and they had to start supervise it
