Maybe it's been discussed, but it just occurred to me...

...what the difference in our offense last week was. When we called a play, we ran it. We didn't line up, stop, look to the sidelines like an idiot, then run a toss. Perhaps that the best things about a lot of motion; there is no time for screwing around.

How about getting the play in and run LONG BEFORE THE PLAY CLOCK GETS TO ZERO!!!!!!! Amazing!

How about the ability to sustain drives by converting on 3rd and 5-10 yds!
If our offense can keep our Defense off the field and rested like that consistently...holy shite watch out.

They still snap the ball with < 10 seconds on the play clock

True. But I would prefer long signal counts to long periods of indecision between plays.

His point is the typical Les Miles coached teams... was nothing but confusion...

It definitely felt by design. We were all ball control and clock melt all game. Other than a few hurry up plays (like right after the long pass to Chark near the goal line), we pretty much let the clock tick down as much as we could. We did have one delay of game, but that was right after a penalty, and I'm not sure if they didn't set the play clocks correctly or we just weren't ready for it.

It was effortless. That's why I don't understand all these nut jobs saying it was Les 2.0.
It was tiring, difficult and uncomfortable watching LSU offense under Les. This was a HUGE difference.

That 1st play with the OL switching sides was glorious.

What do you guys watch? There were timing issues still. There were false starts, holds, not being set properly.
It left points off the board against a shite team. It's the first game, so I think they will get those things cleaned up.

I think there was at least one delay of game penalty that was caused by the timekeeper. Play clock not reset when it should have been.

All teams have first-game jitters and mistakes, so yes, they have stuff to clean up. But c'mon, man, teams have timing issues, false starts and holds in their LAST games of the season, as well. Even in the NFL, nobody's perfect and some mistakes are inevitable. We should be more worried about the red zone issues, but those might be largely normal for a first game, as well.

How many timeouts were burned due to confusion or the clock running down?

3 holding calls
2 false starts
2 illegal shifts
1 delay of game penalty
It's tell the troof Monday guys, let's not act like we were perfect

Teams have won national championships doing this. You just sound like a petty child.
We get it. You didn't like the previous offense. That's understandable. Don't invent extra reasons, though.

My face was literally tired from smiling after watching the game Saturday night. Yeah the penalties were frustrating but when have we ever seen the creativity on offense that we witnessed against BYU? The penalties can be cleaned up and the playbook will be opened even further as the season goes on. My point is it's going to be fun watching LSU football again. That's all that matters to me.

Brah, the jet sweep, based on press conferences and interviews, seems to be a pre-snap read.

Yep.
And I was with O on that delay call.
The refs fricked that one up. There was definitely a problem with the reset of the play clock.
