I thought Cam Cameron was a pathetic college OC, and I thought college football passed up Lester many years ago, but ...

Last night, our red zone offense was putrid; the play calling was poor and the execution worse.

We would have been all over the former coaches about this. Why are we giving the new coaches such a big break?

Shutout victory...total domination on both sides of the ball...

Yeah, so depressing.

Do you think the score would have been 27-0 under the former coach?

You need to stop watching football if you really believe this...

We gave them little to 0 film on Canada's offense. Opposing teams don't even have a full spring game to watch and the media wasn't allowed in our practices. I'm ok with us being vanilla that game, it was clear we were going to win easily. Why show our hand to teams like auburn and Florida?

Yeah, because with all these young guys it makes total sense to expect LSU to have mastered a completely new offense and execute it perfectly the first time against an opponent.

Even if you are right (and you aren't) you answered your own dumb question in your question.

Geez. We had over 400 yds of offense against a good defense and won handily. First game under Canada and he barely used many plays. Some people just have to be miserable

Let's see, first game, new offense, going against a very good defense. The game plan was to win without most of the playbook being that they didn't want to make the players have to over think things. Freshmen starting on the offensive line. Receivers with little to no actual game experience. You are dumb.

15/18 with zero interceptions. When he called passes they worked, plain and simple

First game of the season.
Installed a new offense
Shutout somewhat legitimate opponent. Shutouts are always difficult. Even small schools usually get points

My take was Guice didn't need to play the 2nd half, 1st half was very physical. Other than that looked very vanilla with typical 1st game mistakes. Funny how the D with all the new guys had few penalty calls.

I mean the res zone offense is definitely an area for improvement.

But if you didn't notice a different offense last than what we've seen under Les, then you aren't paying attention.

The game we played last night will beat 11 teams in our schedule. And the only reason it won't beat all 12 is because of the talent gap in their front 7comoared to our o line. And that's not something coach O or Canada can do anything about this year. It all comes down to o line recruiting.
