Does anyone know a good place to park that won't be $40? Do not mind walking a mile or so if it means cheaper parking.

If you get there early enough, park around the hospitals between Poydras and Tulane. You can even park along Tulane in some areas if you happen to be a little late and the other places are full.

Not sure if it was a one-time thing but we normally park at Tulane Medical Center and walk to the Dome. They had police blocking people from parking in the garages unless you were there for the hospital last weekend for Saints Preseason Week 3.

I'll probably try to park in the lot next to the exit coming from I-10 to Poydras. May be full with tailgaters like Saints games, but is usually open for everything else.

Park in the harras casino parking garage. Get a players card from Harras and sit at a penny machine for I think 30 minutes, with your card in the machine.
Parking will cost you whatever you spend in those 30 minutes of playing. Might even get paid a few bucks to park.

You might want to check premiumparking.com. You can reserve a spot in any of their parking lots. I've seen it for as low as $20 not very far from the Dome.

Park on the street by Central City BBQ, it's about 3/4 mile from the dome. Parked there for Bayou Country Superfest this past year and whenever I go to Saints/Pels games.

IF you're lucky, your vehicle will be on blocks, but still there.

What ever you do ....do not park on the 2-3 side streets which run perpendicular to Poydras and adjacent to the hospital complex. So Prieur and a couple of others have NO side walks on either side {wide 10' grassy areas}, there are ZERO no parking signs there and dozens and dozens of people park there for Saints games. The miserable N.O. parking authority will write no parking on sidewalk $40 tickets every 2nd or third game. The ticket cannot be beat in their kangaroo court ! They pull out a 200 year old "ordinance" book which clearly states...N.O. decides what a sidewalk consists of. I've complained several times in writing, but the azzhats down there will not post signs nor will they explain the logic. Maybe, with the morons recently being fired from SWB/Public works...some-one...any one will begin actually preforming their duties w/in the great city of N.O. !

I know a great place to park for free on the street less than a quarter mile from the dome that we park at for every Saints game. Don't even need to show up early to get the spot, however I'm opting out for this late kickoff.
Point being I dont think walking a quarter mile or more to your car past midnight down dark streets in NOLA is a good idea.

What about the Dave & Busters garage? Isn't it $10? I wonder if it'll still be $10 tomorrow?

A cheap parking spot will cost you all your valuables in your car, your wallet, and possibly your life, but at least you won't spend $40 on parking.

There are plenty of new parking garages downtown... Behind walk-ons, below Dave & Busters, at South Market District. All usually $20 for Saints games
