Why the hell do I need a password with

8 characters
Upper and Lower case
At least 1 number
At least 1 symbol
Can't be the same as a PW within the last 5 years
Can't contain series of #'s from social, phone, or address
Mandatory to change it every so many weeks

All to log in to pay a damn utility bill.

I wish all the apps had the finger print option. The note in my phone contains about 17 different passwords.

Are there any trustworthy apps or sites that provide random password generators that will store/login for you?

Because if you give people the option to chose 1234, they will. If you give them the option to use only letters they'll go with password. If you tell them it has to be changed once every 3 months without stipulations, they'll go from 0000 to 1111.

It's a good thing to force people to do this. You should be thanking your utility provider.

I don't know about passwords, but my atm pin is the price of a cheese pizza and large soda at Panucci's Pizza, where I used to work.

Recently I've gotten to where I can't remember my passwords and it's driving my fricking crazy. I've always had a whole series of different passwords for different accounts and I've never had a problem keeping them in line. Anymore, they all run together.

Interesting story, the guy who helped design this protocol was on Tucker Carlson last week, maybe the week before, and he admitted they made a mistake with the protocol. He now says what we all know, Just make the password a sentence that only you know , make it the same password on all your sites and no one is ever going to figure it out, no system will be able to break it, and there is no reason for the one capital letter, one special character , change your password every 90 days for safety BS. I mean which is more secure "HeyHey184%" or "HeyHeyisthegreatestposteronTD!"

I think we all know the answer to that.

I use Last Pass and really like it. It's easy to use and now I only have to remember one password.
