I agree. But the average person who doesn't know cars would be more impressed by an exotic name like a lambo or ferrari even if the camaro/mustang cost more and has better performance.

Not if you keep it parked in a garage and use it as a pleasure vehicle. If you use it to go to work, you are trash/trashy.
