What do you like about him? He seems like such a predictable robot. He'd make a good mailman.

He's not Trump? That's more than enough. He's no the ideal candidate but he's better than Trump.

The only person in the Republican field I'm actually excited about as a potential presidential candidate right now is Rand Paul.

Everyone is excited about Rand (me included) until he actually starts to run a national campaign it seems.

Kasich definitely has the experience that is impervious to attack by the press:
quote:

Kasich joined Lehman's investment banking division as managing director in 2001, working there until the firm's collapse in September 2008 unleashed global panic and served as the catalyst for the financial crisis.

From the WSJ.

He's way too nice he doesn't stand a chance against the liberal machine. They would destroy him

Can't wait for Trump to kill this guy again

Does the party even allow that?

Depends on who else runs. Him over Trump without hesitation.

Absolutely.

If Ben Shapiro chooses to run in 2020 though, I'll go full Trumpkin for him.

I don't know much about Shapiro. If Rand Paul runs, maybe, but I've been disappointed with him in the last couple of years.

His imperviousness to attacks by the press is inversely related to his potential to win. Don't kid yourself, if he were ever somehow a legitimate threat as a national candidate, he would lose his press darling status with a quickness.

Good thing that's not something you will ever see, though.

Kasich is going to be a perfect foil to Trump just like Jeb was in the primaries.

The GOP better tread carefully in considering this foolishness.

Yes, and with Trumps unpopularity it's a possibility.

In 1976 Reagan ran against Ford in the primaries. In 1992 Pat Buchanan challenged H.W. Bush in the primaries.

Mine too. The only thing worse than a staunch Trump follower is an Obama follower.

I know. My post was pure sarcasm. He was an executive at Lehman Brothers for Christ sake.
