They are peaking too early.

So it is written, so it is done

Do you ever predict good thing to happen to teams?
Or ever go out on a limb? It's not like the best teams always make the World Series.

Braves fan checking in. The Dodgers were my preseason pick to win it all and I'm sticking to it. Looks like a solid pick so far.

04 Cardinals. Same 50 game stretch if LA wins tonight. We lost in WS to Boston. Bet the bank on the Sox.

Dodgers 2017 WS Champs

It wasn't about peaking too soon.
2001 Mariners won 10 out of their last 12 games.
They were the hottest team in baseball - not just record-wise.
But then they barely beat the Indians in the ALDS...
Their loss to the Yankees was not a shocker though...the Yankees beat the A's whom the Mariners struggled with all year. Mariners just weren't as good as their record indicated.

Totally lies in the hands of Kershaw. If he pitches like regular season CK they make it. If he keeps choking they prob won't

Travis Gregory Stano thinks the Dodgers have peaked too early.

The Dodgers used to do this every year in late 90s and 2000s iirc. It is their mo at this point.
Astros will choke too. Will struggle going to Boston in winter.

To contribute to thread, it's a GN thread. It doesn't need any legit responses.
The Cubs "peaked" early last year too then. They still went home Champions. It's baseball. Batters get hot then cold. Same for pitchers. Kershaw is an all time regular season pitcher and a "good" postseason pitcher.
And LOL Mizzou above. You make it sound like the A's were a run of the mill team. They won 102 games iirc. The Yankees were the most expensive team in the MLB with a ton of talent. They lucked out against the A's one would say as well. You don't win 116 games as a fluke. You type like Peej with the excessive use of ellipses. A couple more beers and a "get off my lawn" attitude as you age, you'll be every bit the poster but won't have the legend that Peej has created for himself.

Are you on the spectrum?

I remember when the Yankees took the first two in Seattle and after the game Sweet Lou guaranteed they'd be back for game 6.

Before you guys start asking questions let me start by saying We’re gonna be back here (Seattle) for Game 6, I told the people out there the same thing, I guarantee you we will be back here for Game 6.
