My dad has this one, works great. Starts first pull every time. It self propels so fast that i can only hold the throttle about halfway or i cant keep up with it. I would recommend

But clearly some people have different opinions lol

I have that same Honda. I've loved it so far. Great power, starts easy, and the self propelled drags me most of the time.

I thought I would always own Toros. I bought this Honda and it absolutely fantastic. If you bag at all, get Honda over Toro. I don't really care for the FWD, but with the way this one balances, FWD would not work.

Don't get a self-propelled anything.

I have a Husqvarna (cost in the $275 range) and am happy with it.

I have a honda man-propelled with the GCV160 engine and it is fantastic. Starts instantly and has plenty power. I cut about 1/3 acre with it and it isn't bad.

It will work the piss out of you if you let the grass get too tall of course.

Have that exact mower. Thick arse St Aug in the back and if you mow weekly you rarely have any visible clippings. Best mower I've ever owned at the two year mark

I got this Honda.

LINK

It is a smooth operator...unless you let your grass get a foot tall. The rear wheel drive is awesome.

BUY IT!!!!!. Don't buy the extended warranty, either. You won't need it. I have the same mower, a Honda tiller, and a Honda presssure washer.

I have that same honda mower. I love it. My father in law used mine once then went out and bought one for himself. Then he bought one for each of my 2 brother in laws as a house warming gift. That's 4 in the family with zero issues to date and a quality purchase.

Just bought a Ryobi Battery Powered (40 Volt, 5 AMP) and love it. Only dislike is that the highest setting for cutting isn't quite high enough--I like my St. Aug cut high.

What don't you like about the self propel system?

I considered getting just a push mower, but I plan on getting my boy behind it in a couple years haha

I've had the exact mower you linked for about 6 or 7 years now. It's been a very good mower. Had to replace the cable that connects to the bar that controls the kill switch and the pull rope.

The auto choke is giving me problems now. I need to replace the little part that controls it.

Despite this, I highly recommended it.

Honda. Has cranked every single time on first pull for the last 8 years and counting. Cuts like a dream even on thick wet grass

The first Honda I bought was in 1997. I just replaced it. Kept it as a backup or when the fiance wants to help we'll have both, because the '97 still works well.
