Why is Mexican immigration so personal for you?
You really seem to be passionate about immigration
I'm talking about Arpaio being convicted of a crime and then Trump letting him off. He says he cares about the rule of law, but then doesn't back it up unless it is something he personally cares about.
Mexican immigration is not personal for me. I don't think kids should be deported and have been vocal about that, but that's about it. The fact that I don't think young people who've grown up here should be deported shows how ridiculous this board has become. It turns into a big argument whenever it comes up and I don't back down. But, that's not me being passionate. It's me being stubborn.
I'm against illegal immigration and am fine with a Wall. I've never said otherwise.

Good. Trump needs to hone the edge of his pardon saber anyway...just in case Meuller and His Hillary assassins go rogue.

Sheriff Joe is a Patriot through and through

Was his crime a federal crime? I thought the President can only pardon federal criminals.
The governor would have to pardon on any state level criminals.

Law and order and all that I thought.
Thats the point. Joe was enforcing the law and the swamp creature/wit5ch hunters didn't like it.
Trump should appoint Joe to a all powerful border control position.

Trump "seriously considering" pardon for Sheriff Joe
it'd be a dumb move politically. Yeah, he has the right to do so as President, but it'd be political seppuku. When he's already being attacked as not being harsh enough on the Alt-right, he's going to pardon one of their hero's. You'd have to wonder how much lower his popularity rating alreday at 34% could fall.

Joe was enforcing state law. The fed ala slimy communist Holder/Lynch made it fed.

When will someone tell Trump he can't pardon for a state offense? This is pretty basic stuff here - not a nuance of the law.

doubt it, he only reads the enquirer (sp) cause a friend owns it and it has pictures

Good point and it brings up an interesting legal question.
Since Sheriff Joe was found guilty of contempt of court by a Federal judge in a Federal court was he found guilty of a Federal crime?

Your concern is noted.

I realize the President has all the power in the world to pardon this man. But does he deserve it? He was told by a judge to stop racially profiling Mexican-Americans, but he kept doing it anyway. He's just a racist piece of crap. Make an example out of him.

What evidence do you have that he was doing that, other than the claim of someone else?

It was taken to court. I haven't done in-depth research of the trial, but a Judge ruled that's what he was doing. So there was evidence of him doing so.

Was he charged with that or not following the judges mandate?

I believe he was charged with contempt of court because he kept doing it after he was ordered to stop
