Probably at the risk of losing Virginia in 2020 though

Cruz would have been way better in every way except for maybe regulation cuts. Trump is killing it there.

Trump is way better than Hillary or Bernie would have been, except for maybe rhetoric and identity pandering. They were champs in that regard.

I literally can't think of anything, even from a very far right view. Any of them could have gotten some kind of healthcare bill.

I don't think consumer confidence would be surging like it has been and I think nothing short of a 55-GOP-member Senate would have gotten any sort of worthwhile changes to the ACA through. The Dems were just hellbent on keeping it and were willing to call in whatever favors they needed to make that happen.

He won? That's the standard? Getting in office and doing nothing useful?

You have to win it first. Just being in there instead of someone that's going to further the socialist agenda is a win by itself

Oh it was good alright.

It's one good reason why Hillary lost Michigan in the primary and the general.

None of the establishment Republicans would have cut all those regulations. Even Lyin Ted and Little Marco would not have done that.

Yep. Thankfully honorable Trump was there to stop the nasty Democrats from trying to grab America by the P.

Reduced federal workers by 11,000 within the first 6 months.

Trump is truely making government smaller.

Sure but it's really a push since he then hired 11,000 federal prosecutors to investigate him.

I guess the OP missed Chuck Schumer's new Democrat "goals" that were largely ripoffs of Trump's message of bringing back jobs.

I strongly dislike Trump, but other Republicans would not have appointed as good of a Supreme Court justice.

Except for that George W Bush fella, who got rid of almost 5 times as many regulations as Trump. Granted he also created a lot more, but there are thousands of more regulations than 2001.

Wow,I never never seen someone render their point useless within half of their next sentence.

and for something else 1.1 million fewer people on food stamps

The people in this thread wishing away his accomplishments are pathetic.

Ummm. 16 years later there are far more regulations to eliminate, and fewer to create, so the fact that Bush eliminated MORE, and had a higher elimination to creation ratio, indicates that big government Bush got odd to a better deregulation start than Trump.
