CNN or someone did a lengthy story on Glenn last year about dealing with Alzheimer's and his attitude toward it and life, etc.
Rhinestone Cowboy was the first song I remember saying was "my favorite." Discovered his other stuff years later. Another country legend gone.

I saw him in Branson as a teenager back in 94. It was a helluva show.

Damn. May he rest in peace. One of the best guitar players I've ever heard live.

Was actually an Allen Toussaint cover believe it or not. Still hit it big, just a neat connection to another late music legend (from NOLA).

Alzheimers sucks, especially the late stages and yes people get combative and some make it to the literal stage: where they can no longer speak and have to be fed.

IIRC, hasn't he been pretty sick for awhile?
fricking Alzheimer's. That's what his last song "I'm not gonna miss you" was all about. It was fricking gut-wrenching the first time I saw video of him singing it.

Listening to Glenn Campbell reminds me of my mother in her youthful days. And we listened to him on one of these.
Sadly the console, my mother and now Glenn Campbell are all gone.

Those old console stereos were the shite. Beautiful piece of furniture, to boot.
RIP, Glen. You were one of my favorites as a kid.
