All edible fish are kept by the rodeo, cleaned, and donated to homeless shelters. So it's wins a rodeo and feeds homeless..well done Cup

I was down in Exuma last week and noticed this shirt. Guy was talking to someone and I didn't have a chance to ask him about it. Is Swollfest a big tournament down yalls way?
Posted on 7/28/17 at 3:13 pm to highcotton2
Swollfest is good, was on the Isle for it this year...but not near the debauchery or participants compared to the granddaddy of all fishing rodeo's

This day and age with cameras and video, why would you kill a big tarpon? Unless it was so big you thought it might be a record.
I ask myself this every time TR comes around. That part of it is a black eye for sportsmen here.

Is the guy leading the speck division the one that caught that big one for the star a week or so ago?
Posted on 7/28/17 at 5:57 pm to Janky
Yea Tommy was leading it. He got bumped to second. I imagine he has one over 5 in the ice chest waiting to be weighed tomorrow.

OK you SOB's....good so far, but ya'll got more work to do...
Posted on 7/29/17 at 7:59 am to cuyahoga tiger
What Is the strategy on waiting? Don't fish lose weight as they sit on ice?
Posted on 7/29/17 at 8:03 am to Janky
they do Janky....but the practice of holding big fish back at the scales until needed is great theater ....
Posted on 7/29/17 at 8:23 am to cuyahoga tiger
Seems silly. I would rather have the ounces than the drama.

yeah, but alcohol fueled baws love the attention

Yeah, lets teach our kids to killl fish in the children's division like hardheads for no reason. Keep it trashy, tarpon rodeo.
I mostly agree with this, but it doesn't bother me as much as the big Marlin kill tournaments. Those are such a shame.
