When is it no longer acceptable to call your old man "daddy?"

It just seems weird to say dad, but people are starting to look at me funny.

My 10 yr old girls still do. I never remember calling my dad daddy. Maybe I did when I was a toddler

It's weird to say it as an adult male

I started calling my parents their first names in middle school
I rarely say dad or mom.

My parents were fine with it. We are a very informal family.
My friends used to leave my house and try to call their parents by their names and got shut down FAST![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

My sis still calls him daddy and she's 24. Me and my brothers call him Pops or Pappy.

It depends on your gender or your gender identification. If you are a female or identify as a female it is ok for life.
If you are male or identify as male, you should not use it after about ages 4-5.

I am 50 and still call my father Daddy and my mother Mama. I will continue to do that until either they pass away or I do whichever comes first.

I went from dad to pop when I was about 14.
