Why doesn't the stock market seem to care about Russians?

If this shite really has any potential to shake things up, shouldn't that be priced in and shouldn't we be seeing a lot less optimism there? Instead, we seem to be breaking records daily. Does the SEC guy here know more than the market?

Because Russians are poor, and therefor have little impact on the stock market.

It'll care if the same thing happened with the Chinese.

Why should it affect the stock market?

Because the stock market is comprised of humans with actual intelligence and IQs over 100 who know this is nothing but a media witch hunt.

The stock market cares about real shite. This is all political theater put forth by the media for the entertainment of the masses

Because they figure Trump will get mired down in investigations and not pass his agenda meaning Obamas policies stay in place and the economy keeps chugging along rather than going into a tailspin

Good question. For that matter, why doesn't the stock market seem to care about the ACA?

After all you've seen in your life you still think the stock market moves on this type of political rancor?

Because political theater isn't taken seriously anymore. It's basically just entertainment at this point.

Either no effect is priced in, or effects we might not know about are priced in.

Institutional investing is such a large portion of the market that it wouldn't surprise me if it's already priced in by those who know more than the rest of us.
