You better enjoy it while it lasts. It's about to be full on residential and commercial development.

Simply put, think of it as Brentwood + Westhaven on steroids.

fricking idiot. Cars go faster and take up less room than 18 wheelers. If anything, that analogy should be the other way around.

You really are a fricking idiot. It's not about a "right". It's called common sense. If you are walking down a tight aisle and a larger person or object is coming towards you, you turn or step aside to avoid hitting it/them. It has nothing to do with your "right". It's common courtesy which keeps you from being impeded to whatever degree.
Cyclists think because they have a right to be there they won't get hit. WRONG.

As an avid cyclist, sorry so many of you guys hate on people get their fitness on, he should've been in single file. No way in hell would I ride that road doubled up like that. All that said, to hit him on purpose is really fricked up and he deserves a day in court.

Cyclists always want to be treated as cars until it's convenient not to be.

I hate cyclists. That being said you can't hit one. But if they happen to be next to a gigantic puddle...

Looks like he kinda hit the guy on the bike on purpose

I looked at the video a second time to see if the biker moved over after the first truck went by him but he didn't move over more than a foot or so if that. The car was too close to the bike no matter what and driving off will only make shite worse.

ETA. This reads different than what I meant, Meant that i was wondering if the bike moved closer to the center line after the first vehicle went by but he didn't.

All that said, frick bikers riding rides complaining about sharing the roads considering 99% of them don't obey traffic laws. We were down in Destin and rode behind a biker because traffic and he refused to move over. We finally got past him after a few minutes and came up to a stop sign, when we stopped he blew through it and got back in front of us and continued riding in the middle of the road. We rode for about 30 seconds with the horn on until he finally started yelling and got out of the way.

It appears that you have been ignorant for quite some time.
It also appears that you are not alone in your ignorance!

When I come up on bicyclists on La. 175 (which has a 55 mph speed limit). I slow down as I approach, they usually ease over to the right as I approach. When I pass, I move fully into the other lane, they stay to the far right.

175 has a few very tight turns as it goes through the farming area near the Port of Shreveport. One day, some cyclists will be in the curve and a car/truck (hopefully not an oilfield truck) will run up on them with sad results.

I'm sure you're right.
Perhaps he has some contractual agreement to do so.

The Natchez Trace is a National Park. Cyclist absolutely should be there. I'm not sure where this is in TN but the speed limit for the last 20ish miles is 40 mph.

It's near Leipers Fork.

It looks like the vehicle have either:

University of ____________ or
Kappa Theta __________

Stickers on it. Shouldn't be too hard to track down.

Single file line and it's likely avoided. Can't just blame the driver.

Never really put any thought into it. It doesn't move the meter when I see someone in a wet suit. But every time I see someone in the atrocious biking gear I always point and laugh. Same with the Harley fan boys playing dress up.

We get it, you have never been on a road bike for more than a few miles or given any thought to what pavement does to the body if you were to have to lay down a motorcycle. You laugh at people dressing in appropriate clothing for a particular activity, the rest of us just laugh at ignorance.

There are other places to get their fitness on that are much safer. Most, not all, are a nuisance. Its pretty stupid to use the fitness excuse to ride on public streets and risk getting hit by a car to be healthy

I watch the video if that is what you're asking. Yes the cyclist deserved to get hit. The road was built for cars. That's fine if you want to ride your bike on it but ride near the side of the road so cars can pass you. Its inconsiderate and frankly dangerous to drivers when you are taking up an entire lane going 10 mph.

Plus cycling is a stupid and boring "sport". I dont have to navigate around people playing baseball or basketball on the highway.
