Been Listening to NPR in the Mornings

Do they ever, I mean ever, say anything positive about conservatives or is their overwhelming negativity towards Trump not reflective of their general treatment of conservatives?
Their reporting is interesting, but I'm struggling with finding anything trustworthy about them given the rampant hackishness.

No it isn't.

No. My ultra liberal brother that still lives with our parents at age 26 (even though he has a BS) cites that garbage as an unbiased news source.

The only time a conservative gets almost-positive sentiment on NPR is when they are taking the liberals' side on an issue.

Their international reporting and tech/science/etc... stuff is really good but their domestic political commentary is just hot garbage. I had to give them up a few months ago because it was literally muh russians all day every day.

From my limited experience with them - they are to the left of virtually all other national media outlets and are 100% positive towards leftist politicians and 100% negative towards others.

That's that I was referring to. They've had some interesting reporting on Hong Kong recently that I doubt anyone else was talking about.
That aside, they should clearly lose any taxpayer assistance they currently receive. They don't even try to be non-partisan.

A waste of taxpayer money. Cut off funding, let the libs cry about it, collect tears in bucket, pour bucket into pool with diving board.

If NPR is tied to the Government Bureaucracy, Trump/Bannon will be altering the essential (Ideological) makeup of those who run NPR. Will take a while, as it's probably not high on the reform list...but it will happen. Across the board.

If privately owned msm is generally (very) liberal, what do you think government run msm would lean?

BS degree in what, if you don't mind me asking.

You should go back to Fox News where everything is much more fair and balanced.

NPR's reporting leading up to the election was ridiculous.
It was laughable how obvious they were cherry-picking their Trump supporters to interview. A typical pre-interview introduction of a Trump supporter went like this:
"James Smith lives near Montgomery, Alabama. He is the co-founder a private militia group and believes that the U.S. government has a responsibility to deport all Muslims and homosexuals. He plans to vote for Donald Trump. We interviewed him to learn more about his beliefs."
I wish I was being hyperbolic, but I'm not.

Yes you are...they did extensive interviews with people on "who are you voting for and why" and followed them for 3-4 months through the end of the election. They were not crazy people at all from all over the country.

They are adept at painting lovely (audio) images with train whistles, children playing and honking horns. They romanticize the propaganda. That's their Trojan Horse. They get you to open your front door - so to speak. The message is selective and disingenuous. Caveat emptor.
