The guy was laying dead on the ground. You wouldn't help out the old man at that point?
1. Why?
2. That's not his job. He could actually endanger the guard's life and job for doing so.

It's odd the psychological effect that particle board cubicle material has. They're using it for cover and shooting around it as if it's armor-plated, when a decent caliber bullet could easily pass through it.
But hey, if I had no other option, I'd be glad to have it too. At least they were out of the robber's line of sight.

Fantastic work, old man. Bravo.
Of course, some assholes will try to rally for this idiot and say that it was unfair that the guard "shot him while he was trying to run away in fear for his life!" or some ignorant shite like that.
Congrats to that dude for staying cool and calm under pressure, and even (seemingly) unjamming his gun before firing the kill shot. Nice work.

What was security guard doing with his pistol before his last shot - did gun jam and he clear it?
Wondering the same thing. Looked like a jam to me.

Not many banks have armed guards.
No joke. Bankers are told to comply with basically any request that is made, and this guy finds a bank with an armed guard.

I feel like it would be pretty smart to make everyone have to be buzzed in to get through the door.

It's not uncommon for downtown branches to have armed guards in my experience when I worked at a bank. Elsewhere you're right it's very rare.

Worked in a bank branch in a mall parking lot about 20 years ago. Had a guard named Roy - old Hispanic dude - he used to tell the filthiest jokes every time I would walk in to the branch. Never thought he could much if we were robbed. One day, a dude comes in and fires a shot in the ceiling. Tellers give him the money like they are supposed to, and Roy follows the guy out to try and ID the car. Dude is running across the parking lot and fires over his shoulder at Roy. Roy drops him with a single-shot from 30 yards out. Will never forget that.
Oh, and LOL at all you warriors laughing at the folks ducking for cover when the guy comes in shooting. I'm sure you would all have disarmed him with a deposit slip and your ninja training!

That's awesome. Sounds like Roy was an excellent guard.
Yeah, when you work at a bank you don't need to act the hero. If there is an armed guard, let them handle it. Anything you do can endanger the lives of coworkers and customers.
We were told though that you do anything to escape if they try to take you hostage. Statistics show if you're taken hostage you'll most likely end up dead.

I've been close to gunfire once. I dove my arse behind my car as fast as possible . I had a CCW permit at the time too. It's still a valuable thing, but you are going to duck and cover first 99% of the time when it comes out of nowhere like that. What that guard did was pretty damned level headed.

Watching thugs get filled with bullets is almost as enjoyable as watching goat frickers take a Hellfire up the arse.

Wut? What in the actual frick does the employees being millennials have to do with anything?

Old guy is a retired deputy. No charges will be filed against him.
