I'm not saying LSU lost because of a bad call or calls. I'm just curious on people's opinions of the overall quality of the umpires.

It was atrocious in the 7th inning. That is simply too big of a moment to make that ticky tack call to cost lsu a championship

Compared to LSU's playing, they were great.

Them and Florida did much less damage to us than we did to ourselves.

I thought for sure after game 1 vs. OSU the guy behind the plate tonight wouldn't be back there again. Agree it didn't affect the outcome but some of the calls this guy makes make no sense at all.

I thought Poche was affected by not getting the calls low in the zone from the beginning. Can we blame the whole game on that? Meh. It surely didn't help though.

They were fair, I watched quite a few games other the LSU and the strike zones where the same for both teams. There were a couple of bad calls in there buts that's part of baseball. It's not like it was ever one-sided

umpiring was terrible...that included all the bad calls that benefited LSU. They need the same Instant replay process that the MLB uses.

I wore third base bitch out.

Well, he probably didn't notice, but if he did, his feelings are hurt AF tonight.

The umpiring was terrible in every game in Omaha this year. Numerous missed calls, especially at second base and atrocious strike zones.

We need full replay and digital strike zone.

If the point is the get the right call, why not make use of technology?

Too many questionable calls gone the wrong way. Some worked in our favor and some didn't. They really need to be able to review more than what was allowed for this CWS. Thought the strike zones were too tight for most of the games, though the finals I thought it was fine.

Abysmal.

But, LSU shouldn't have put themselves in a position to rely on the umpz

Pretty typical but I don't particularly care for them, especially if they are inconsistent and want to be seen. That being said, either go all in on replays or none at all. Prefer all in as today's players are so athletic they shrink the margin for error.

Have officiated basketball and baseball and found the latter to be more challenging

They were uniformly garbage. How did those guys get to to the CWS? Yes, LSU benefited from some calls, so I'm not blaming the umps for our 2d place finish. However, it seemed that this crew wanted to insert themselves into the game and be a part of it.

BTW, where was Mr. "Stay here! Stay here!" tonight?
