I just don't believe in fishing another mans brush pile when that's how he feeds his family.

Fine. If he rolls up respectfully then I would move, but I have as much right as him to fish it.

However, he should just go on to his next spot.

You can't over fish white persh. There's plenty for everyone. That's one thing I loved about Saline-Larto. There may be many boats in one area. If you catch one they'll fall in behind you and vice versa. No problems.

The guide is an ole country baw from Opelousas with a serious napoleon complex. He always thinks someone is trying to get one over on him, pretty much hates life

Tough shite. You're probably the same type of person who would yell at someone working a bank "you scouted" while you're fishing a bass tournament and they're just enjoying a day on the water. No one owes you the right of way on public water because that's how you chose to make your living.

Public property is public property. If he needs that one brushpile to feed his family, then he should go sell insurance instead.

Change of subject sorta but I always wondered how filling a 5 gallon bucket up with concrete and brush or making trees out of pvc and dropping it in a lake is not considered littering?

I agree Toledo bend public water and if you put brush piles out on public water people may find the piles and fish it. I use to live over in Zwolle for a few years on the lake and fish it a lot after work. My neighbor would holler at people fishing off his dock or my dock.
I told him to stop that stuff due to legally my docks on SRA property and I can lose my dock permit. I also did not give a flip if someone caught a bass off my dock more power to them.

Just like brush piles I seen guys fight over who's brush pile it was when both were throwing brush down close to each other. One would put some brush down right before dark and the other guy would put brush down close to ther other guys spot in the morning. What do you expect when you drop brush on a drop off that is on almost every contour map of the lake? I bet everybody and their cousin fished that spot. These idiots would fight over something so stupid.

Sounds like a guide who doesn't have many repeat customers...

Dude should have pulled up said hello how are y'all doing today I see you guys found my brush pile I put out and ask if they mind if they fish it with them. The other guy would have probably just moved on.

A good guide would have a lot more spots to hit than worry about one brush pile.
There are tons of places in that lake to fish if you know how to fish the lake.

The guides I've used all had a crap load of different brush piles set out. The one we've used for that last few years will bitch about someone fishing on his brush pile, but he moves to the next one and doesn't start shite. Hell, he's told us that we are welcome to fish his brush piles. He pretty much just said to do him a favor and fish it in the afternoon when he's done for the day and to please not over fish it. This Bullara guy seems like a class A prick.

Should have shot up that frickers boat and watched it sink. No different than arse hole locals hunting public land and thinking its there's. If you want private land you should have made better choices in life that ables you to buy some. They should arrest that dick hole for making a living while catching OUR fish.

Someone should have video taped it.
If that prick would have hit their boat they could have proved he used the boat as a weapon.

I would have let the prick in the boat and that would have ended everything. At that point the guy could have easily proved he was protecting himself.

After living out there a few years after I retired stupid things like that does not surprise me. I lived there when the lake was in a drought and a lot of people had a hard time getting on the lake. I basically had it to myself and caught 10 bass over 10 lbs. Back then it was funny you rarely saw a guide on the lake.

I fish with Dean 4-6 times a year. He is a guide that works his tail off constantly building new brush piles but there comes a point when every time he pulls up, there is that same guy fishing them. Dean tried to have civil conversations with him and told him he would build him a pile if he would just leave all his others alone.

The Johnson guy just keeps saying he will fish everyone he has and there's nothing he can do about it. I know, I was there.

To me that's just a slap in the face to a guy that makes a living on the lake. He is booked everyday and has plenty returning customers. His house recently burned down from an electrical problem and lost everything. He ran inside to grab one thing, his book for his trips.

So all the he said ya'll can put to rest, I was there and that Johnson guy is a total jack-arse. It's not the first time he pulled a gun on someone either.

Why do you and the guide think he's so special that he can control what other people do on a public water body?

Sounds like your buddy made a fundamental mistake in his business model. If he doesn't like people fishing where he fishes, he needs to buy or build his own private lake.
