First of all there's the matters of principle and monetary gain. Why did millions fight prohibition so hard?
We also just don't know exactly how beneficial it COULD be because it isn't allowed to be studied extensively. It could potentially play a powerful role in cancer treatment, beyond simple nausea relief.

Make it all legal, tax it and only use that revenue for the druggie's rehab.

Piss tests for weed test if you smoked weed in the last couple of weeks, so they're a waste of time and resources imo.
I'm sure they do it to lower workers comp insurance payments, and because everyone else seems to be doing it.
