i'd go a step further and legalize all drugs (and prostitution while were at it). Put the money towards education and rehabilitation and makes crimes committed under the influence X times more punishable

I fully agree. How can we pretend to be a free society when adults can't even make decisions about what to do with their own bodies? We give hormones to children that think they are a different gender, but an adult can't take a substance that makes him/her feel good?

Before I turned 21, it was easier to get heroin than alcohol. If some drugs are so bad, then we should make them legal with age restrictions to make it more difficult for minors to obtain.

The supply & demand for drugs will never stop. We might as well regulate it as best we can and make some money.

What drives me nuts is that I cant go home after along week, sit on my couch, and smoke a little pot on the weekends. I risk losing my job and my kid and my life and my freedom.

But some house mom can take an ambien to go to sleep, drink caffeine to wake up, take an Adderall to stay alert, a xanex to calm down, smoke some nicotine to take the edge off all while driving carpool and watching children and then go home every night and drink a martini to relax and no one cares.

Think about the absolute lunacy of that

I'm just mad that my employer will fire me for smoking, that's why I support keeping it illegal. If I can't do it, neither can you.

my employer is the same way about opiates. So stupid that in the year of 2017 the government is trying to control our lives.

That is a bridge too far. Heroine kills. Crack ruins. I have less problem with decriminalizing consumption in exchange for forced rehab

As long as the abuser limits his habits to hurting himself and not others (crime) I don't see the concern

Weed doesn't harm you or society in any way either, so why do you care? What's the point in it being illegal?

Why do you limit your argument to just weed?

I didn't have a problem with weed, coke, acid, crank, hash, Seconal, Quaaludes, mushrooms, whiskey, beer, etc. I am a living testimony that weed is not a gateway drug.

You don't think high school kids don't know where to smoke on campus even if they don't leave, champ? Kids are a helluva lot more conniving nowadays than back when. If there's a joint, there's a way.
I smoked on the back of bus 16D regularly during the school year

Colorado had $1billion in revenue in the first 3 quarters of 2016. You get locked up smoking if walking down 16th street mall. State is booming economically. What's the problem?
