You should know better than to listen to that shallow blowhard troll.
You are smart, vibrant and I am sure have a lot to offer someone. The child front...sorry if it doesn't work for you but move forward with your head held high.

When I realized I was turning into my father.

When I realized that I had to cut back on the drinking because the hangovers really f***ing hurt and ruined the next 2 days.

When I had more back hair than hair on the top of my head.

Thanks LCA I'm not legit worried about it (mostly). It's more just strange to be aware of obvious signs of aging for the first time. Like my body is betraying me, or something. I'm not a hideous monster yet.
I'm still undecided about children; it's just weird to be at a point where the decision will soon be made for me. I'll be happy either way. My BF has an amazing daughter I love more than life, and I have a lot of nieces & nephews. My ex & I chose not to have kids, so I've always been ok with either outcome.

You can learn from GN's mistakes but that is 180 degrees out from him/her/it teaching you.

I'm 39 and that decision will be made for me for good in less than a year.
To the poster who is 26 in this thread and feels old....really? You have no idea
Evil...I think 35-36 was when I started feeling more "old" as well. 39 is even worse. I feel like this entire year is my final lap of my 30s, the last "young" decade.

37 and do not feel old yet
Posted on 6/13/17 at 6:47 am to lsunurse
It's amazing how quickly it comes on! A few months before I turned 36, it's like a switch was flipped & everything started going to shite. Now, I'm a few months from 37 & thinner than I've been most of my adult life, but I feel less attractive. Like I've lost my sparkle, to be totally cheesy.

Make sure you stay intellectually active and vibrant. Take up a new hobby. Read, crossword puzzles etc. Get a large Tigerdroppoings tramp stamp...That worked for me...Well that and I took up philandering.

When the strippers at Visions started telling me I looked like I was in my 30s when I tell them I'm over 50. Trying too hard to be nice out of sympathy.

When I made a Seinfeld reference and my younger co-worker didn't get it. There was a time when people routinely communicated with Seinfeld references and everyone knew exactly what they meant.

And don't forget. If it's the afternoon, it's Thorazine.
Don't get those mixed up again. Bye.
