I've traveled to quite a few LSU sporting events alone (what happens when your friends lack dedication/financial commitment) and LSU fans are super friendly. I've never had a hard time making friends on the road and you see a lot of the same people when you travel enough. It's kind've like a loose association but cool nonetheless.

Never been. I have time this year and I'm tempted.

interesting concept here... I regularly drive to LSU home and away events alone and always enjoy them. going to Omaha is another whole level of commitment, though. I am tempted...

I'm traveling up solo for work but I know a few folks that live there. Airfare and hotel paid for by my employer, per diem, and free championship series tix from my friend's employer.

Just go to Barrett's Barleycorn. You won't be alone for long. That place is magical.
