Bioware new IP Anthem to be Xbox exclusive?

I'm trying to find any other reason to save it for the Microsoft conference and I can't think of any other reason.

The only thing that frightens me is the fear that it will be open world. Open world games tend to be shite. We will see.

Just because it's at the Microsoft conference doesn't mean it's an exclusive. MS could be using them to show that 3rd parties are behind the Scorpio.

I doubt it's an exclusive, Bungie does the same thing with Destiny and Sony conference.

Could be that it is the semi exclusive model that destiny took where some things were exclusive to ps4 and they always showcased with sony. I assume this is the project dylan game that just got delayed to '19. I woud love to see this being used for the scorpio reveal. Everyone knows that bioware has the people to put together amazing games, they have just had a couple luke warm ones lately.

It's a marketing deal, almost all multi-platform games have them.

It didn't look bad but I don't really know what you can take from the trailer. Hopefully they show some gameplay at Microsofts conference, Bioware hasn't exactly been lightning the gaming world on fire this generation.

It isn't exclusive. I was surprised MS didn't pull a Sony with Bungie and have some timed exclusivity announcements for this game. It doesn't look bad at all.
Bioware has to undo the damage caused by Andromeda and hopefully this development team will focus on making a good game and stay away from the pitfalls of Mass Effect.

I am just not sure shared world action RPG is what I wanted from BioWare.
