Shut up, stupid.
I guess I was wrong right? Do we now like when sports types chime in on social issues? Are we back tired of watching and listening to actual sports? :

Eh, it would still end the "my mom banged a rando high yella" story.

Dude just look up the word. You aren't a chattel, but an employee. "I slaved over dinner yesterday evening" doesn't necessarily indicate that the cook is a chattel.
I know you're trolling, but you should up your game and be more consistent. You really contradict yourself here

from the article. i found this a bit funny......maybe the social media bully should have just said 'move to africa'.

In all likelihood his positives don't outweigh the negatives that he brings to the table. I guess he could make sense as a starter for a team that sucks (the Jets), but the flack you get for signing him isn't worth it if he's going to just ride the bench.
And something I heard on the radio one day, someone being interviewed said he believes the biggest reason is unless you are bringing him to be your starter, and build the offense around him, he doesn't fit the style of many NFL teams, to make sense as a backup. He wouldn't be able to run their system well enough.
I think it makes a lot of sense.

The tweet is racist regardless of the race of Travis or King. Pledging to donate money if a person is black enough but no money if he isn't black enough is racist.
Not if that person's entire credibility is determined by whether or not he lied about his race and has made fame and a career out of cultural appropriation.

Exactly.
His ilk constantly decry the evils of cultural appropriation so for him to benefit from egregious appropriation, it would be the height of hypocrisy.

I actually don't understand why all the liberal media gets so upset even if Colin is getting blackballed.
I'm pretty sure lots of people did not like his protest. This isn't fricking something hard to grasp.
If enough of the owners disliked it, and fans of said team would be pissed if they signed him, what is the issue here?
It's not a free speech thing. He didn't get arrested, benched, or released because of it. But there are consequences to what you do.
Again, what is the outrage here?

Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with his stances, he will present a distraction for any team who may sign him, whether it's his own doing or that of the insatiable 24/7 news cycle. He's not a good enough player nor would he be a valuable enough back up to justify bringing him on along with that distraction. It's pretty simple, really.

A white coach carried Kap enough that he got a 100+mill contract. He should be greatful.

Slavery doesn't necessarily indicate the presence of a chattel.

A "$50,000 if you're black enough" deal is exactly this.
You are missing the whole point. Go back and listen to his periscopes from yesterday and the day before.
He isn't saying anything about one race or another, etc. He is pretty much saying Colin Kaepernick not having a job has nothing to do with his race or the shite he did last year with the national anthem.
If you are really good, teams will overlook a lot of things. Its about risk and reward. I used this example earlier, but if Greg Hardy was able to get back in the league, if CK was good enough he would be on a team by now, but you know what? Kaepernick wanted out of SF. This article tells you all you need to know about CK situation

But in the national debate that ensued, it was easy to forget that his days as a 49er were numbered long before he made his protests public.
quote:
This has been building for a while. Kneeling distracted everybody from it — in fact, it distracted everybody just months after the 49ers had shopped him around trying to satisfy his trade request.
This is just the inevitable taking place.

Kaepernick wanted out of SF and thought he would get signed by another team. Even if he didn't do the kneeling protest bullshite he wouldn't have a job. Name one team that would benefit by bringing him in.

You're demonstrated why the word
"racist has little meaning. There's nothing racist about what Travis did.
You can't tell the difference between racial and racist.

Only true figs use the word chattel on a message board. I bet you are the kind of guy that everyone makes fun of because you think you are the smartest person when talking to a group. You are the epitome of a fag_got that nobody wants to be around.

The majority of those guys probably have enough "frick you" money to go ahead and retire to Tahiti for the rest of their lives if they really wanted to.
Not at all. Average career span of an NFL player is 3 years. You have to live a lifetime on 3 years of salary, if you're in the middle of that curve. Think about if you're below that (which, you know, is half the league trying to retire on less than 3 year's salary).
I don't think playing in the NFL equates to slavery. But its also not fair to say they all have a ton of money. Especially with the new CBA.
EDIT: Didn't quite realize this was already 10 pages deep. This point has probably been made.

It is also funny how you only started hearing about good things CK started doing... After the fact he was no longer with SF and couldn't find a job.
Anyway, the whole thing with Clay Travis is this simple. Shaun King published this.
quote:
But I won't be watching the NFL this year. I can't, in good conscience, support this league, with many of its pro-Trump owners, as it blacklists my friend and brother Colin Kaepernick for taking a silent, peaceful stance against injustice and police brutality in America. It's disgusting and has absolutely nothing to do with football and everything to do with penalizing a brilliant young man for the principled stance he took last season.
LINK
As you can see in the title he is saying the NFL is "anti-blackness". Clay Travis is pretty much saying Shaun King uses race to stir things up. And that what Shaun King is saying about CK and why he doesn't have a job is insane, which it is. I have been saying since CK started protesting, that it has nothing to do with his "beliefs" and everything about drawing attention to himself and was trying to get out of SF (he started doing his protest the 3rd pre-season game of the season, right before teams made their final cuts. It just so happened CK wanted out of SF so he was trying to get out of his contract).
And that there is evidence showing King isn't who he says he is, which if true, would make him a complete fraud.. And if King can prove he is as black as he claims to be then he shouldn't have any problem proving it and by doing so Travis will give King's friend, CK charity, $50k. It's that simple.
In summary, he is saying Shaun King is stirring the race pot by claiming CK doesn't have a job because he is black and the he will boycott the NFL because they are "anti-black".. And it is believed King is not black, because his birth certificate has the name of his two parents, who are both white. Yet King claims his is black, because his daddy is black.
Anyone who thinks King is legit and buys into his race baiting bullshite is a fricking moron.
And Travis is saying "Look King, you are full of shite. In fact, I am so confident that you are full of shite, if you are indeed black I apologize for saying otherwise and will give $50k to CKs charity, however; if he is not at least 25% black then there is a bigger problem here.. The problem is King is a complete fraud.
Nothing more, nothing less.

But it's not slavery when someone has the freedom to make a choice to do something or not.
What about someone who has a corporate job in which the company requires them to dress a certain way and that they have to be a certain way to fit the company's brand? And they are on salary and there are weeks they work 60+ hrs a week, etc? You can say they are being treated like a "slave", but when they have the freedom to say they do not want to be part of the "corporate world" because they feel as if the company has too much control over them... Either way, they are getting paid good money to do that work. Slaves don't get paid.
