Something with some gears. Those things suck when it's not flat ground.

You could go to Walmart or Dicks and pick out the cheapest one. Something like this:

However, I'd suggest either checking out craigslist or upping your price a little (because you get what you pay for) and visiting your local bike shop. Get a hybrid bike that is comfortable for your size and you should have no trouble pulling that trailer.

I will add, that we have a trailer for our kid as well. The weight of your combined bike and trailer will make a difference when towing. I have a new road bike (aluminum) and a vintage road bike (steel) and there is a huge variance between the combined weight. Something to keep in mind.

cruiser more upright style, medium width tires and gears. dont spend over $300 if you dont plan on really getting into it.

make sure you have good brakes, suspension(shocks) wont matter much. 3 speed is probably good as well

That budget is going to be a little restrictive. I would look at something with slick tires that roll with little resistance and something fairly upright. Fork, no shock. Could be an old mountain bike, hybrid, or commuter type.

Find you a cheap cyclocross, or hybrid. Easier rolling resistance, without the extreme position of a road bike.

Do you want to be hunched over or more upright?

If upright, check out the Electra 7 sp cruiser. It's around same price
