Been watching it, really great. The interviews with roadies and their staff were just awesome.

Last week they had the director on Tales from the Golden Road. Good interview and knowledgeable dude. Said he struggled between going too deep into the Dead (for fear of it being too much info) versus keeping it fairly basic for the casual viewer.

Haven't seen it, and can't wait to. Maybe this weekend

I thought the two shows it shoreline were just ok
great venue but way too much john Mayer

last night in boulder was incredible
great set list, and Mayer's contributions were spot on...good song selection and more nuanced playing

heading over to Folsom shortly for nite two

I had a blast at Folsom past two nights.

Ripple at the end of 1st set Friday night was pretty damn amazing. "Let there be songs...to fill the air" being sung in unison under the Colorado sky was absolutely too good.

Friend of the Devil last night was killer, as was Brown-Eyed Women.

First "Dead" show or experience for me, and I couldn't be happier to have gone and see them. The crowd was great. Love seeing how many different people really get into this music. The diversity is insane. Will be back next year if they come.

you had to be there
It's not good audio only compared to the real thing

the scene is always half the equation

So the music isnt that great but its fun to hear dead songs with lots of other like minded people?

Not that theres anything wrong with that, but i guess being old enough to have seen jerry, this just doesnt appeal to me.

To each his own, im happy that some folks are enjoying it and keeping the spirit alive, i just prefer the music being top notch to all the other stuff.

Chimenti alone on the keys was enough for me to call this music "top notch". Dude stole the show.

Yeah the naked freak on the pole is distracting. Surprised a roadie or Hells Angel didn't yank him off.....you can watch the whole vid: Sunshine Daydream on Youtube.....lots of naked hippie chicks so easier on the eyes.
