Such a waste. The cop merely told her to park and collect herself. She ended up vanishing that night. Her body wasn't found until it was discovered at the bottom of the river still inside the car - two months later.

Dashcam footage of a traffic stop involving a woman who later died when her car went into the Missouri River has been released.
The footage was released Tuesday as the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled that drug intoxication was a factor in 20-year-old Toni Anderson’s accidental death. She reportedly had ethonal, cocaine and amphetamines in her system, according to the Kansas City Star.
Anderson went missing from North Kansas City on Jan. 15 — the same night she was stopped by a police officer for driving the wrong way.
In the video, Anderson can be heard giggling and her speech is slurred as she tells the officer that she hadn’t been drinking.
“I’m just really sick,” she said.
The cop told the University of Missouri-Kansas City student to park and collect herself. Anderson, who was a strip club waitress, did not perform a sobriety test and was let go with a warning.
The police encounter was the last time Anderson was seen alive.
Authorities found her body two months later on March 10 inside her submerged Ford Focus seven miles from the site of the traffic stop.
“Cops don’t tell people they think are intoxicated to go collect themselves,” her friend Mary Gillespie told the Kansas City Star. “No, they are going to perform a Breathalyzer test or other DUI testing and then determine if they need to take you in or not.”

Cops are damned if they do, damned if they don't.

That mole is distracting.

So the cop should have arrested her and she wouldn't have died

I'm one of those guys who gives the cops the benefit of the doubt in some of these more controversial cases, but this one seems pretty black and white. She was driving the wrong way and was constantly giggling and was slurring her words while talking to the officer in question. He should have taken her in.
Yeah, she'd been in a whole lot of trouble....but at least she'd still be alive.

Tough shite. She chose to drive and suffered the worst of the possible consequences.

She was a lot of things, but stoned doesn't appear to be one of them.

Completely agree. If she'd hit and killed somebody else this would be much bigger news.. I get letting "buzzed" people go, especially if they're basically at their house and driving fine..maybe rolled through a stop sign or didn't use a turn signal.. but driving on the wrong side of the road?

Also I don't get exactly what he did. From what it sounds he told her to "park and collect herself", does that mean he wouldn't let her drive off but to leave the vehicle until later when she was sober? If so, I think he may have did the right thing. If he just gave her a warning and let her pull out of there, he may have made the wrong decision.
But hind sight is 20/20

Good. He'll be off the force. And aNother drain on society is gone.

Bet she won't do that shite again.
