Does this mean I am ducked? Don't want to sign anything without understanding what I am agreeing to.
Will they sue me? Job pays a frick ton but they won't tell me the responsibilities unless I sign

You can sign the NDA and not take the job once you hear about it...

Is that true? If so I'll sign. I was under the assumption I had to take the job.

So they are going to make you sign the NDA without letting you read the NDA?

If you sign it then disclose something, yeah because that's kinda what it's for.

Ummm I would sign it and learn about the job before you take it if you're interested in it

Almost every place I've worked has asked me to sign one. It's pretty standard in my field. There's a lot of proprietary stuff that they don't want getting out to other firms.

Just sign and then quit if you don't like it.
They may want you to sign a non compete agreement too... sign that too

NDA's are routine in firms that have unique service or technology and they are just making sure you dont run and sell the Coco Cola formula to Pepsi... Non Competes are a different issue. I know several people who have been put in a bind because their business was sold and in order to be retained they had to sign NC's. They got disgruntled and left and had to find other opportunities until these docs expired and they could go open another business or go to work for competitor.

Just because you sign something does not mean it is enforceable.
Can't tell you how many signed docs were tossed out by judges. It all depends on the individual situation.
But anyway you can always quit at any time.

Ice had to sign 3 in my employment history. Pretty standard.

I'm glad I know how to read so I don't have problems like this

So read it. What does it say? Ask a lawyer for advice when in doubt.

What's the big deal? Apparently you'll have access to company secrets or proprietary information and they just want to make sure you keep that information confidential. NDA doesn't prevent you from quitting if you don't like the job or find something better.
