Group cruise with a bunch of friends. Wife was PMSing and extremely moody. Spent 4 days in cabin arguing with her. Worst vacation ever. Told her never again would I be locked in a tiny room on a ship with her again.

Panama City Beach 7 or 8 years ago. Went with a group of about 40 and stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon. The dumpiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The beach and partying was great but that place was a total dump.

A group of us drove out to six flags once and it was closed. That sucked.

I went on a 1200 mile Road trip in the back seat of a 98 mustang, that wasn't fun either.

Took a beach trip from Hell with the wife and kids to Pensacola while the wife was pregnant with #3.

The highlight has to be someone putting my iPad in the back of the SUV and then me smashing it by accident when closing the hatchback. Needless to say I was in a foul mood for the rest of the drive home.

Went to my cousin's wedding in downtown Memphis. We got there pretty early and was able to park on the street across from the church. After my dad parks and we go inside, we hear a loud boom. Walk out to find someone had hit my parents Tahoe and the car parked behind us. Of course it was a hit and run, luckily there was a young kid who was outside church when it happened and he was able to give the police a really good description of the car. It ruined our whole evening, my dad missed the whole wedding because he was outside dealing with the police. I really felt bad for the other car that had worse damage than my parents, it was a brand new car and the people couldn't even drive it back home. As if that was bad enough, we got lost driving back to our hotel after the wedding and ended up in a pretty bad area of Memphis.

Disney has to be up there for me.

But I remember as a kid my dad driving my 2 brothers and me to Destin around the 4th of July to fish 1 day on 1 of the snapper party boats in my grandparent's station wagon. Being the old country guy he is, he just assumed we'd get there and get a hotel. This was circa 1985, so booking hotels ahead of time was out of the question. He didn't realize all the hotels would be booked up. We had to sleep in the station wagon in a parking lot by the beach in July! fricking miserable.

Then turned around and drove back to Shreveport the next day.

June 2011: went to Conroe, Texas to visit my girlfriend. She lived in a small apartment but was moving. I helped her and her roommate move into an upstairs apartment on the other side of town. I paid for meals for all three of us. My girlfriend was more interested in her female roommate than me. We did not have private time together and she did not seem to want to be intimate. We had boxes everywhere on the floor. No television or cable to watch. I ended up sleeping on the floor for two nights. Third day, I decided to drive back to Gonzales. It stormed the whole trip back. Girlfriend broke up with me two days later. I got used like a wash rag . Long distance relationships suck.

8th grade school trip to Disney World. I got food poisoning from a bad hamburger on the bus ride down there and spent the next 10 hours puking in a trashbag.

ETA: I did get a row to myself though, so it wasn't all bad.

Then you just don't know how to do WDW. I've been there over 30 times and although it isn't the best vacation spot, it certainly isn't the worst.

Family trip to ATL. It was hotter than the surface of the sun all weekend. Went to two Braves games, they scored 0 runs total. Got attacked by blackbirds in a park and they left welts all over my neck. I was wearing a crimson hat that apparently set them off.

Turns out blackbirds hate Alabama. Who knew

I have gone to Disney once, when I was a kid... I think I was 8 or 9 years old. It was okay, of course it didn't have everything it had now, but my favorite part of it was Epcot.

While I understand parents wanting to bring their kids there once, I do not understand those who continue to go back on a regular basis.. But if that's what they like who am I to say they shouldn't?

Anyway, the worst vacation I went on.. I think it was the summer before my freshman year of high school. My mom and I went on a camping trip with three of my other aunts (one of their husband's) and their kids.

We drove all day then stopped somewhere, put up the tents, etc went to sleep, got up, picked up everything and got back into our vehicles and got back on the road. We did this until we got to Wyoming. Went Through Texas, Oklahoma, & Colorado. I forgot how long it took us to get there, but I want to say the first night we camped in Texas, the next day we were still in Texas and camped out there the 2nd night in a row then on the third day we went into Oklahoma, where we stopped to grocery shop then camped somewhere in Colorado.

The next day we drove to Colorado Springs. We got there later afternoon and stayed there for a day. Then the next night we camped somewhere close to Wyoming. The next night, the plan was to drive and when it was time to stop they would just find a camp ground. Well, as it got later and later, the only place they could find was this area that had no facilities, there were only a few vehicles there and we had to end up sleeping on our vehicles. We had 5 adults and 9 kids ranging from the age of about 3 - 15.

Me and my cousins who were near the same age as me gambled for most of the beginning of the trip until we started fighting and one of my cousins won a big pot, put down the window stuck his hand with the money, out of the window, waving it to all the cars passing by.

Riding all day is boring and teenagers and kids do stupid shite. My little cousin, she was 3 or 4 at the time. She told us she wanted to be an indian, so we took markers, that we didn't really know was permanent markers and drew all over her face like an indian. When we stopped and had to go grocery shopping, when her mom realized we drew all over her face with permanent markers and she had to go into public with it all over her face, she went crazy on us.

When we were close to Colorado Springs, we saw a bear going up the mountain so they stopped so everyone could watch it. Several of my cousins jump out of the vehicle and decided to go chase it. Between all of us fighting and doing stupid shite, the adults decided they were going to make the rest of the trip miserable for us. It ended up being a huge cluster frick of a trip.

Went to Phoenix in October a couple of years ago to play baseball in the NABA Nationals. Done this trip several times in years past. This time, we stayed at a bargain "suites" hotel where the "suite" was just a room with a kitchenette.

Room smelled musty and moldy, had to be aired out constantly. Moved to another room, same smell. Couldn't change hotels because paid in advance through Priceline.

Couldn't go to any national parks because the federal government was shut down because of budget squabbles.

Cancelled a day trip to Prescott because the whole city was in mourning over the loss of 13 firefighters in a wildfire.

Nothing much to do but dine out and lose $$$ at Indian casinos. Golf out because of the wife being there with me. We had already been to Sedona, Grand Canyon, Bisbee, and Tombstone on previous trips.

Our team lost nearly every game, missed playoffs. Went home early and disgusted at considerable extra expense.

Worst thing was The Lovely & Talented Mrs. Lammo was so pissed and disgusted at my morose and whiny arse, she said she'd never go back to Phoenix for baseball ever again.

When I was in the tenth grade my family and I went on a trip to Gatlinburg after Christmas. On Christmas Eve my uncle (my mom's brother), who my siblings and I were close to, passed away. He was the only sibling my mom had, and her parents were already deceased, so it was obviously extremely painful for her and all of us. Anyway, we had the funeral a couple of days after Christmas, and we left the next day to go to Gatlinburg.

It had snowed quite a bit up there on Christmas, but we still anticipated that we could get to the cabin we were staying in, since no one at the rental company had told us otherwise. We get to the check in place in Pigeon Forge and we are told that we cannot get to the cabin, that the roads are not passable. We are told by these people that they tried to call us, which they did, they called our house phone hours after we were already on the road and on our way there, even though they also had our cell phone numbers.

We had two pets with us, so a hotel wasn't possible, plus we went to be in a secluded cabin, not small hotel rooms. We found a place to stay that night, but every cabin we tried to book so that we could continue our trip, was either unreachable or got booked right before we could book it. A lot of people were in the same boat we were and were scrambling to find a new cabin accommodation, as well.

We ended up leaving and coming back to Birmingham the next day. Our week was already bad, as any week where you buried a loved one is, so this just intensified that.
