I agree with trying to get him in scoring position.
I guess that really depends on their scouting report on the RF and what kind of arm he has. If they know he doesn't have a rocket, a cutoff should be a little more expected.
I definitely understand your point though about trying to get a guy in scoring position.

Guys it's not hard. It's baseball 101 to move a 1b runner when a 3b runner is going home on a RF play. Pap hastheplay in front of him so can stall to allow the run to cross.
The only goal was to get that 1 run on the play. Pap being safe would have been lagniappe.
