I wonder how much value Fisher has. Putting up good numbers but his strikeouts are still really high which is concerning.
I agree that if I'm Pitt I want Tucker, atleast 1 of those top arms then some MLB ready guys like musgrove, Hernandez etc

The last couple years have changed the prospect market, with Boston, Texas and Washington giving up some huge pieces. I think we are shifting back towards contenders taking a more conservative approach and not being willing to give up their superstar kids.

And we may be disappointed that a "much younger than his level" Martes is having growing pains, but he is still a Top 20 prospect in all of baseball. If you're basing a trade on him, you're setting a foundation it will be hard for other teams to swallow and match.
Guys like F. Perez (who I love), Fisher and Paulino are also Top 50-75 guys.

I think that if it comes down to us competing with the Yankees for Cole, we should start coming to terms with Tucker having to be part of the deal. Like Adam said, Watson being included in the deal would certainly cushion the blow.

Giving up Tucker would suck but those things are forgotten when banners are hung. I would rather give up Martes than Whitley or Perez at this point. Those two could time fairly well with one of Keuchel or Cole possibly leaving.
I dunno what to think about Paulino, he has great stuff but his injury history is somewhat concerning

The thought of Dallas leaving is depressing. I'd hate to lose any of our young guys but I know it'll happen with every one clearing arbitration around the same time.

I was called dumb for being okay for including tucker in a deal that nets us two all stars so I'm thinking we are in the minority. Giving up tucker would suck, but it would be the right move in this situation. We have several years we can be dominant....if that means giving up tucker for us to win a World Series the next few years....I guess I'm dumb

Whitley has gone 5 innings of 1 hit, 6K, 1 BB baseball tonight

You're not dumb
The discussion my Bregman comments stirred up in this thread after reading posters opine over the loss of Tucker is what inspired me to respond
I'm ignorant for questioning the possibility that holding on to Bregs instead of getting the missing piece for the next 2 years, at the very least, ends up costing us both short and long term.
Not saying that's the case, just posed the possibility, and made the obvious observation that he no longer commands the same potentiality he did during the Winter Meetings due to his present lack of power he showed to finish last season.
We both may be wrong, but definitely not dumb for making our educated opinions known. I've enjoyed the discussion nonetheless.

Hold up baw. You're not ignorant for suggesting it. Not at all.

Deetz had another good night also.

We are all dumb this is the DAT dammit.

There are some who would question my seriousness, baw.
You're good people though, Jwho77
I had 24 WS tickets if Astros had made it this past year. Got 4 in Chicago. Demand was a little higher there.
I've got 2 for you if we make it this year.

So, now that an "ATL Sports" board exists, on the SEC Rant, when should we start petitioning Chicken for an Astros/Houston sports board?

I only care about the stros.

Yeah, I get the impression that quite a few DATers feel that way.
