I was a major critic. Banned for it in fact, but Ed's got this under control. He understands his deficiencies and people. That's the most critical aspect of being a manager.

I believe Canada will be a huge success next two years, he'll get another job and he'll find someone else. Same with Aranda if he chooses to stay.

I was a critic, but every move I've seen him make publicly and heard privately (no named sauces) makes me think this is the guy we have wanted.

He's not Saban, Urban, or Peterson, but he will be consistent and will always invest everything he has into the university. This is his dream job, as it would be every one of us.

If he sucks after four years, next man up. But I'm optimistic now. Let's go Coach O.

Couldn't agree more, considering we haven't seen a true down of non-interim head coach O I would say he has truly WON this offseason. Rescued a plummeting recruiting class, made a (what seems to be) homerun hire at Offensive Cord. and pretty good hires at assistant positions. I would feel a little better if our QBs had performed at all during the spring game but I'm not gonna put that on O yet. I'm looking forward to what the O era has to bring us

Canadas success is tied to QB play. Let's hope the surgery on Danny's back helps him out this year.

I'll wait to see the results on the field. Specifically against Auburn, Florida, Bama, and Tennessee.

What I'm pumped about is that Canada will be as aggressive as he needs to be at any given time during a game. I also believe the defense will be much more aggressive this year flying around, playing assignment football. This team will be tough to score against once again

Much like O's actual record as a head coach, this thread sucks.

I still dont see how this is a valid qualification. And somehow was his main selling point.

kinda sounds like he could be another cholly Mac type coach. And I don't think that 'consistancy' and that type of mediocrity is going to be enough. He needs to have a lot of success in the win/loss column to prove he was the right choice.

I can hire good assistants. I love the university and will give it my all at a cost of less than $2mm per.

Hire me?
