Y'all think the resurgence of Game Stop may affect some of the meme cryptos like SHIB?

It's just beanie baby tulips.

This is just my personal preference, but when I buy meme's, I only buy the ones that haven't ran already.

And money talk still thinks its worthless.
So true. Every day it seems another giant in the financial industry announces they are joining the Bitcoin bandwagon. It's getting to be more and more like a feeding frenzy.
The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) announced today that they have plans to make the Bitcoin Spot ETFs available for trading on their exchange.
As Michael Saylor says "Everyone deserves the price they pay for Bitcoin". Bitcoin haters are going to be left out in the cold.

So is standard practice still to buy actual BTC and store in your personal wallet or are we going with ETFs these days?

For the average person, I think the ETFs are fine. IBIT has the lowest expense ratio.
Buying bitcoin and holding it on your own wallet is by far the preferred method (not your keys, not your coins) but there is a learning curve and i've seen many people struggle with it.
Buy a hardware wallet and just play with $10-30$ sending it around and then if you get comfortable you can make real BTC purchases once you understand.

Why not both? Actually there are 3 categories of Bitcoin investments.
I'm an advocate for owning Bitcoin directly, owning the Spot Bitcoin ETFs, and learning how to take advantage of Bitcoin Futures/Options/Derivatives.
Bitcoin is great for holding for long term performance and security against the increasingly failing FIAT and economy.
The Spot ETFs are great for IRAs and 401Ks. They do what Bitcoin can't and that is to trade without immediate tax implications within Traditional and Roth IRAs and 401Ks.
Going one step further, I also recommend owning and trading Bitcoin derivatives like BITX and BITO. BITX makes a great play on volatility and BITO has been paying massive distributions.

Oh yea I already have a hardware wallet. Haven’t really kept up with the etfs and stuff.
Had been buying on CB then transferring to hardware wallet but stopped buying last year due to short term risk tolerance changes.
Wasn’t sure if that was still best practice or if etfs were the new wave

Can BITO go to 0 or have a massive drop relative to BTC price?

If Bitcoin goes up, BITO goes up. If Bitcoin goes down, BITO goes down. BITO tracks Bitcoin very much like the Spot Bitcoin ETFs, but like all derivatives it usually does experience a small degree of decay every time ProShares rolls it's current futures contracts to new futures contracts (typically monthly or more). The recent monthly distributions way more than make up for the annual fee (0.95%) and decay.

Which Solana memes do you hold and why
TREMP
BODEN
USA
COST
WIF
CHEEPEPE
I don't really have a good reason to hold these. I just follow what's trending, and hope for the best. I do think the upcoming election will shine some light on the first 3 listed. As far as COST, I mean who doesn't love a Costco hot dog? WIF has been around a while, and CHEE was a drop that I received, and have just added to it along the way.
