He went full wrestling heel. I lived Trey Wingo's comment saying he went out guns blazing. It was a fun moment

That was amazing...moreso because Philly is the bitch of the division.

20 Super Bowl appearances, 12 wins, and the Eagles contribution is 2 losses...awesome.

To those of us who are old enough to remember him playing, that is not surprising. He played that same way and he is one of my favorite all-time Cowboys.

He should've pointed to his hand and said, "Hey Philly, this is what a Super Bowl ring looks like!"

That was great. All we needed was a wooo at the end or a stone cold stunner put on Goddell to top it off.

quote:

"When I walked out, I just started feeling it," Pearson said. "The adrenaline was flowing."

Pearson walked to the lectern smiling, amid the expected boos. Then Goodell turned over the microphone to him to make the Cowboys' selection.

"All right -- how about them Cowboys?" said Pearson, lightly stoking the crowd.
Booing.

"I want to thank the Eagle fans for allowing me to have a career in the NFL. Thank you."

Pearson than raised his fist, and the booing increased.

"I am honored as an undrafted free agent to be selected to make the Cowboys' second-round draft pick, and on behalf of the (voice rising, now pumping his fist) FIVE-TIME WORLD CHAMPION DALLAS COWBOYS, (booing increases, voice rising again) Hall of Fame owner Jerry Jones (pause), Gene Jones and the Jones family, coach Jason Garrett and all the Cowboys players who played before me (now screaming) and played with me and played after me -- with the 60th pick in the second round the Dallas Cowboys select defensive back from Colorado Chidobe Awuzie."

Pearson then pumped his fist and walked off the stage. Triumphantly.

"The adrenaline was flowing," Pearson said by phone from his hotel afterward. "If somebody threw me a pass, I'd have caught it for sure. I hadn't felt like that in a long time, getting pumped up like that. The boos, the cheering. There were some Cowboys fans, some 88 jerseys. It added to the aura of the event and the moment.

"I just played it. I actually enjoyed every minute of it. I wanted to do something a little different than just read the card. I felt I got my points across. I felt I did the Cowboys justice. They needed to have it in Philadelphia."

I heard it live on the radio and it raised my armhairs. Was reminiscent of Michael Irvins HOF speech.
