An additional 27 Louisiana schools received bronze awards, with no national ranking. In order, they are: New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, Zachary High, Berwick High, Logansport High, Alexandria Senior High, Glenmora High, West St. John High, Fontainebleau High, New Orleans Military/Maritime Academy, Chalmette High, Patterson High, Edna Karr High, Maurepas School, Terrebonne High, Belle Chasse High, South Terrebonne High, Mamou High, Dutchtown High, Thibodaux High, Brusly High, Delcambre High, Southern University Lab School, LSU Laboratory School, Springfield High, Northshore High, West Feliciana High, Tioga High.
some of these are laughable on the surface

This got me looking into school rankings. One site dinged schools for lack of diversity and students receiving reduced or free lunches.

That sounds like a major selling point to me

St.Amant is always up there. Why are you surprised?

Because there are other high schools in the area that have higher scoreshsed in LA. Just wondering what criteria is used for this list.

What the hell is St. Amant HS doing in there? Was this a sympathy vote because of the flooding?

You really are a fricking retard. You had a shot here if you actually knew anything about AP school districts.

Had you not popped off stupidity and instead dug a litte, you'd find that white kids are bussed right past East Ascension on their way to St Amant HS.

There's a real issue there if you care to dig into Ascension Parish school re-districting, but it damned sure ain't whether or not St Amant is a good school with quantifiable statistics to support that claim.

There are some terrible high schools on that list so it's hard to take seriously.

You know, the OP included a handy-dandy link you could left-click on to go read about the criteria(or right-click and open in a new tab/window).

Being bronze just means they close to being in the top 2600, hardly something to be proud of unless the school is turning around from being a complete dump.

It is pathetic that U High cannot crack the 2600
