Winning second place does not put you in the Oval Office now does it?

I mean curtail freedom of religion (and speech), nationalizing the banks, 75% tax on incomes over 100k what's not to love for a small government conservative?

Wow dude. You should try to catch up because you are looking real slow right now.

I know that. That's why i stated as much. Le Pen was simply trying to save the country from Germany's mistake. The people in France are too stupid to even save themselves from outsiders. We already know they are too stupid to save themselves from themselves.

Besides France's immigration policies and issues go way back, well before Merkel--largely due to the nations that were colonized by them.

I never argued that it does.

quote:Yeah I mean all of the histrionic criticisms of Trump, are actually applicable to Le Pen. In other words, besides immigration, Le Pen is far closer to a "fascist" than Trump; they aren't even in the same stratosphere.

Isn't she fairly statist in her policy positions, just with nationalism mixed in?
I know it's France, but is anything other than Sanders Socialism considered "far right" now?
This is the narrative and Overton Window being set by the media, folks.

Explain to us how it sounds that way. Dollars to donuts says you can't support that statement without making hollow reference to early 20th century authoritarian, imperialist nationalism which was only sparked to war over terrorist efforts from those who were denied their desires for self determination and forced to submit to a multicultural, monarchical ruled state. It would be quite the irony for you to cite that history for why a nationalist minded France today, who promotes no imperialism or notions of nationalistic expansion of borders, would be likely to create war or conflict.

But she hates brown people, so Republicans are on board that train.

If this is being counted as a victory for Le Pen, I would love to see what a defeat looks like.

I hope Le Pen wins because I'm not a misogynistic sexist POS

There has always been conflict. The international conflicts became existential in the modern era.
Now we have conflict on every street in our countries due to multiculturalism. We aren't even allowed to "have our own countries" anymore, unless we accept that radical multicultural progressive terms of what that means.

In Europe, a far right liberal is not an oxymoron.
