My Dad had a 1969 Pontiac Executive (the model in between the Catalina and Bonneville). My Mom drove a 1975 Mercury Monarch, Mercury's version of the Ford Granada. My brother had a 1970 Chevelle Malibu that was eventually passed down to me.

My moms old Jeep became ours when she got a better car. Our parents let us drive and camp out in it around the family property.

1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass. 350ci with a 2 speed tranny. Bad assed. At 90mph,you could floor it and it would downshift to the lower gear.

1981 Ford Econoline Van. Looked just like this one. Wasn't pretty but it was the most reliable vehicle my family had while I was growing up. Took many family trips in it.

My dad promised me that pile.

I never got it. But I learned to drive behind the wheel of that thing.

fricker went from 30-70mph in a blink. Maybe that's why I didn't get it.
