I love it. Let em all go down in one flaming heap.
You just can't put certain people in charge of large budgets and not constantly look over their shoulder to make sure they aren't stealing or taking advantage in some way. They can't help themselves

I'm reading it as they walked out so it wouldn't fail passing. Am I wrong here?

Audits with findings have consequences. Each entity that receives tax dollars is audited every year. It's when the investigative unit and legal council of a firm, or this case, the gov auditors, gets involved that there is likely something going on. Either the routine audit found something or someone reported/requested it.
Auditor can only do their work and give an opinion. Up to the law to do anything based on their work.

Legislative Auditor can turn findings over to either AG or Hillar. The Gravy Collective will be itching to get a reason to run a candidate against Hillar. But Jeff Landry is totally bullet proof. He's just taken a victory lap after getting after JBE for pushing to have Larry Bankston approved as LSLBC's Executive Counsel and subsequently looking an awful lot like he's bid rigging to help his kinfolks win the massive project management contract for the August Flood Disaster Dollars.
He would have an absolute field day with this. Statewide media would devour this story and the principals on the wrong side of it.

I also love how WAFB won't cover this because they have an employee on their board

A lot of people have a law license for other reasons than actually knowing and practicing law. It makes a lot of seedy conversations confidential, for one example.

It did but they bolted because the vote would have killed the tax increase going to COA. They are just delaying the inevitable.

Isn't Ms Jackson the one that authored the trust/will ? Seems like she's not quite "up to par" as a law professor, attorney OR a caring/honest person ! HOW the hell is she on this board and does she "function" as a paid board member ? For that matter...how would one obtain the info. on the paid workers at the C.O.A....other that Tashas' reported 103 K ?
