More Title IX Madness: Male Student Commits Suicide over Ruling

This one will make your blood boil: LINK
"You should consider killing yourself."
That's what Thomas Klocke, a straight male student at the University of Texas at Arlington, allegedly told a gay male classmate after finding out about his sexuality during class on May 19, 2016. The classmate filed a Title IX complaint with the university.
The problem? Klocke denied ever having made such a comment. In his version of the story, the classmate came on to him during class, calling him beautiful. Klocke felt uncomfortable, told the classmate he was straight, and moved to a different seat after the classmate wouldn't stop looking at him.
The classmate might have been worried Klocke would accuse him of sexual harassment, Klocke later guessed, because he immediately filed his own sexual harassment complaint against Klocke. The accuser told university officials that Klocke had called him a "****" and threatened to kill him.
Klocke maintained that he did no such thing, but the university sided with the accuser.
Days after discovering that a finding of responsibility could prevent him from getting in to grad school, Klocke committed suicide.
The original purpose of Title IX was to ensure equality between the sexes in education. In its present day iteration, Title IX is little more than a tool for irate students to exact vengeance on people who offended them.

I've never known of/witnessed gay guys harassing straight guys sexually.

Sanctioned Extortion by the Federal Govt brought to you by an Autocratic Obama Administration which changed Title 9 rules without Congressional Approval.
The Accused is prohibited from challenging an Accuser's charges....Guilty an unable to prove innocence, pure Socialistic madness

Terrible situation all around. The wages of sin is death...

The family of the boy who committed suicide should sue the hell out of that college and take them for everything they have.

While I am not a fan of what Title IX has become, this sounds not like a Title IX issue but a University of Texas issue, who handled it terribly by denying Klocke his due process rights.

Another guy calling me beautiful in class would weird me the hell out.

Having seen a number of similar situation in the Navy (especially during DADT, and thankfully none ended in suicide) I'm going to go out on a limb and say there's more to the story. Nobody's committing suicide over a harassment lawsuit. Dollars to doughnuts these guys have a bit more history than a random gay guy hitting on a random straight guy and everything blowing up out of nowhere.

Why the frick is the school involved either way? Calling a student a "f****t" or "n****r" isn't illegal. It also isn't illegal for a gay dude to stare down a straight dude and call him beautiful. Creepy yes, illegal no.
Things were simpler when if someone offended you, you just punched them in the mouth and went about your business.

Seems like one would at least wait and see if it WOULD (vice could) affect him.
One would seriously hope that some dude didn't kill himself simply because a homo hit on him and then some SJWs said he was a bad person and threatened him.

First of all, anyone who has ever dealt with the suicide of a loved one understands that 1 thing is never the reason for the suicide. Suicide is never a rash rush to judgement decision that one thing could trigger, its a result of many things and the in ability of the victim to mentally cope with them.
It's sad in this country that we kid ourselves that we understand what mental disorders are and how they effect people. It's sad that in the US we still kid ourselves when events like this happen as say he/she was always so happy, and we never would have dreamed that they would do this. It's the defense mechanism of the survivors who are left feeling guilty that they didn't take the situation more serious or wrongfully thinking that they should have or could have done something to stop it.

It's outrageous that this guy lost his title 9 case, but it's totally stupid of him to have killed himself. This was not an insurmountable problem he would never be able get out from under.

Gays are histrionic people. Overboard and obnoxious. This doesn't surprise me at all.
