I drive by Copelands all the time. Might've been there twice in 15yrs.

They have a nice hostess table. That's the farthest I've made it in there

I don't know about that Copeland's, but I went to a private party at one last May and the wings were really good. They're whole wings, but spicy and fried well with a crispy crust that wasn't overly heavy.

There used to be a blue cheese salad of some sort there that I had a few years ago. I liked the broccoli balls years ago, but when I had them later, I noticed they changed them up and they weren't very good. Warm crab claws and broccoli balls were my go to dishes when I had to eat there, but that was some time ago.

They used to serve an above average steak. Came out on sizzling plate with butter.

But we haven't been in a while.

The fried food demographic people had taken over.

Back in the day, I used to enjoy the ricochet catfish at the Copeland's on St. Charles and Napoleon.

Best thing they have/had.

I use to go to the one in Monroe every now and then, but now living here with all the more options of places to go I don't even think about Copelands.

last time I went it wasn't on the menu but you could still get it on the menu.

Actually I ordered it and got it over rice instead of angle hair

It's always a great meal when I go and you get bananas foster cheesecake for dessert. Their burger is solid. The pastas are very good. The steak is also very good.

Brunch is pretty good. Other days is OK. Last couple times I went I got a couple appetizers and was satisfied.

when Copelands opened next to fat Harry's it was a revelation
tasty flavor combinations with good ingredients in a casual setting that po folks could afford
damn near every dinner date I had in college was at copelands or cafe savannah

after a while though everything started to taste the same
